Please note that Italian Village, Waterfront and Wolfies are owned by the same group. We booked for Italian Village through Dimmi, but were seated at Waterfront. Ok, that's fine, but knowing that they could not provide a table that was requested (We were just given any table, not the Reserved one), that is just Poor Customer and Booking service.
Ok, maybe because my name is too exotic, so they could not find me on the list? She had that "I don't understand what you were saying" look. Bad! Overpriced, not so spectacular.

Dined with a voucher and was a little disappointed. For such a fantastic view and the advertised prices I would've expected a better quality meal. The garlic pizza was just gorgeous. My Italian salad also was not bad. The let down came with the entree of garlic prawns. They just had no flavour.
My main of petite sirloin was actually really nicely done. The accompaniments was what really let the dish down. I did leave the restaurant full and somewhat satisfied. I don't know if I'd pay the full price or if I did maybe I would get a better quality meal.

My husband and I dined at Waterfront tonight for our anniversary and loved it - Personally I cannot understand the bad reviews this restaurant has received. Our service was excellent, our food and drinks were brought out quickly even though the restaurant was quite busy. Our food - oysters, scallops, bruschetta, lasagna, and snapper were all cooked to perfection. The view is amazing - I admit to an extent you do pay for this, but at the same time, you will pay more for nearly every other restaurant along the quay - we could not fault our experience here. Considering our order, and the location, I felt the overall expense was reasonable, I had expected to pay more. - Also , by booking in advance we got a better position - a table closest to the harbour - the atmosphere was lovely, I genuinely recommend this restaurant.

We ate here using a voucher we were given, which translated into excellent value and even some waste as we could not eat everything! There was a lot of food for the price.
The quality was good food-wise and the service also fine. The location lends atmosphere all by itself, being on the waterfront in the old buildings.
Ordinarily it's expensive though! It's probably worth the occasional visit for the characterful venue and good food.

We came here with a voucher from Jump On It (a group buying website like Living Social) and were given the "Quick and Easy Spring a la carte menu" on arrival.
The advertised offer was for "a three-course lunch or dinner for two", but you actually get one bread dish to share and one salad, entrée and main each. Whether or not that counts as three courses is open to interpretation.
For the bread we chose a garlic pizza, which was excellent. The rest of the food, however, was extremely disappointing. Our entrées were the garlic prawns and baby calamari, mains were snapper fillet and petite sirloin. All of them were well below the standard expected from an upmarket restaurant. The beef, listed as $41 on the menu, was tough and overcooked (my wife asked for medium but it was closer to well done), the seafood was not fresh, and all three seafood dishes were of very poor quality.
This food (other than the garlic pizza) would barely pass muster in a food court or cafeteria. Very poor value, even with an $89 voucher (supposedly the full price is $235 which is laughable). I do not recommend this restaurant.

We had dinner at the Waterfront tonight with a Living Social voucher - value $235.
Food: Mostly we were disappointed with the very ordinary food. What fascinates me is that I note that other diners at the Waterfront have made negative comments about the food for the past few months but Waterfront kitchen staffs don't seem to have made any improvements! When I mentioned that I was disappointed with my Snapper I was offered another meal, I did not accept as we had had enough and the fish should have been cooked right in the first place, after all, The Waterfront is a seafood restaurant.
Ambience: The Waterfront Restaurant has a fantastic view and we couldn't have asked for better weather. However, because of the number of tables they have squeezed in, we felt a bit like being in a cattle market.
Service: Service was satisfactory and we managed to get everything we asked for.
Value: According to the Living Social 'blurb' our meal for two was valued at $235 - definitely not worth this kind of money, we didn't feel that the two meals were worth more than $150.
Overall: If you get a table near the front the view is amazing bit the food at the Waterfront is very disappointing and overpriced. For this sort of $$$ there are a lot of other restaurants offering great food and then we can walk along the harbour to get the view for free. Don't believe we will go back to the Waterfront or recommend it to anyone.

I came here with a Living Social voucher, which for $90, we got two breads, two salads, two entrees and two mains between two people.
Service: clinical and not very welcoming. Not completely bad as they managed to get everything we asked.
Food: was very average. My bruschetta was bland and my greek salad comprised mostly of lettuce. My snapper fillet, although cooked well, came with very pedestrian green beans and fried potato scallops, which didn't work too well with the fish. My duck entree, however, was delicate and delicious and was by far, the best dish of the night.
My dessert (which was ordered in addition to the voucher) would've been perfect had it not been served with half melted ice cream.
Value: Fantastic! if you have a living social voucher. The price of my snapper fillet alone normally costs $42. I personally wouldn't pay that much for what I got.
Ambience: even though it alternated between drizzle and lightning that night, the view was still absolutely amazing! The ambience improved dramatically as the night wore on.
Overall: definitely paying for the view and not the food. If I had to pay >$100 for a dinner for two, Waterfront would not be my first choice.

Used an entertainment book voucher here which gave us $50 off the seafood platter. Very good value, platter had half a lobster, prawns, crab, calamari, oysters, prawn cutlets, salmon. Can't remember the rest as we changed a few of the items but was definitely worth the money and the best seafood platter
I've had!

We attended the Waterfront with living social voucher in hand and received terrific service. Front of restaurant staff and wait staff were very friendly and efficient.
Breads and salads were great. Garlic prawns, steak and pasta dishes were all superb. Fabulous location perfect for sitting back with a glass of vino and people watching.
Only one tiny issue which can't really be overcome because the majority of the restaurant is outdoors, but there are little birds everywhere and with birds comes bird poop, sometimes on the table and chairs. Although this would not deter us from attending again.

Took my partner with a livingsocial voucher. I asked waiter about whether certain food contained dairy allergies and he could not even bothered to check with the manager or chef. He said maybe and did not seem bothered, wanted to slap his face but did not want to ruin the evening for my partner.
Anyhow bread was ok, pizza was ok, entree we had calamari rings and prawn, not bad but nothing special. The main was horrible, steak was too burnt and hard even I said medium. No where medium but burnt and my snapper had some old fishy smell. Main was a joke really and will not return to this place again.
