Better than the average suburban Thai, but maybe not quite in the league of some inner city places. The som tum was remarkably good.

Food very nice. Service was a let down. Was Sunday around 2pm. One guy who was serving was so unhappy cold and not welcoming at all. The lady who was working was quite pleasant and smiled. Food was very good however unhappy wait staff really turn you off coming back again.

I visited this restaurant on a rather busy day. The restaurant is full. The food was good. I had the crying tiger beef and some Tom Yum soup, my friend had the pad thai noodles. All dishes were perfect. There was nothing spectacular, just good honest Thai food. It would be nice if they could accept card, I’ve noticed a lot of Thai places don’t like to take card.

I’m assuming that there is a charge on their part for this service. Other than that, the aesthetics of the place can do with a bit of buffering. I asked my friends to try this because of the fairly good experience, but we were disappointed as the satay that we ordered ended up quite dry and cold. They do make a nice duck curry, could do with a little more meat though.

I've had to update my review almost a year after living close by and trying out Wallabies a few more times. The food (especially the Pad Thai) has improved greatly! Prices have remained the same around the $11-13 mark on average, but no objections here.

New (June 2009) Thai take-away and eatery just around the corner from the Mascot train station (Church Ave side).

Food's better than most Thai joints, though there are a lot of places in the area and I'd probably pick Big Pot as my choice for the Mascot/Alex area and Victoria Park Thai as the best one in South Sydney. Still, a good addition to service the growing number of apartment buildings in Mascot.
