Tasty Chinese at just acceptable prices for down market decor. This is your chow take away at average prices with lots of bright lights, noise and laminex tables if you are desperate enough to eat in. Effusive staff make you feel welcome but aware you are overpaying for what is offered in eat in experience.

Great for a takeaway! The staff are very friendly, big serves and I have never had a problem with the food.

Average Chinese take away from down town Shanghai. Food: Mediocre - the beef chunks were huge and hard to chew, the Calamari was very salty and they used vegetables that don't match the sauce like carrots which featured in all dishes (because it's cheap). We could have cooked better at home, indeed anyone can throw some vegetables on meat and add sauce and hope for the best. Ambience: Down to earth - fuss free tables but clean, 2 entrances create a current of cold air in winter and open kitchen. Service: Nice chinese owner - I believe it's family owned and everyone works hard. Value: large serving - others found it very cheap perhaps due to lunch specials ($6.50 take-away) which consist of pre-cooked, non-appealing food, stir-fried with rice jumble (perhaps made from yesterday's left-overs). Ordering from the menu is more like $12-$15 a dish even during lunch time. We paid $45 for 3 meals + Rice bowl + Tea
