In what universe would you kick a table out at eight on the dot, because you had told them at the start that this table was needed at eight o’clock? It was my sister's birthday, and while we were enjoying the touchscreen ordering system and the company of family, we lost track of time. Realizing at 7:55 pm we still have a cake to eat, we hurriedly piled the finish dishes so that the waitress could quickly take them away and get the cake to us.

However, the waitress refused to let us eat the cake at the restaurant because it was nearly eight o’clock. Upon my father insisting there was still two minutes before eight o’clock, she would only bring the cake if we promised we would finish it in two minutes. She then brought it out, no, no, she literally took the cake out of the box and threw it onto the table without our candles nor our plaque and no knife, then shoved a flattened cake box back at us. She also dumped plastic plates and plastic forks for us to eat our cake with.

Upon insisting to speak to her senior staff, she sarcastically claimed that she “was going to be the senior staff.” Further insistence produce a “senior staff” who persisted that we were in the wrong because we had eaten into overtime. So, to those obedient patrons with no expectations when dining out, Wagaya is your cup of ‘green’ tea.

One of my favourite Japanese restaurants, love the touchscreen and the food. It almost blows my mind how quickly the food comes out when you order it and its always delicious. Great value too!

It was a Thursday night silly us forgot to book. It was an hour wait good thing it was late night shopping. Very modern and advanced with touch screen menu, it is very easy to use. There's two private sliding door rooms where you have to take your shoes off. Restaurant has a cosy feel of an art gallery with nice instrumental Japanese music in the background.

Once food was ordered it came out within 5-10 minutes. Good value for food compared to other Japanese restaurant within the city. I would recommend the prawn salad dish and creamy Japanese spaghetti. Ordered 3 dishes and 2 drinks between two people cost us $42, had no room for dessert. Would leave room next time. Shall be a regular dining place too bad it's not open for lunch only dinner (5 pm til 2 am).

Love the dragon rolls! The only downside was once we had a booking, but once we arrived at the restaurant, we still had to wait 1/2 hr for our table.

Great food and tables with the touchscreen are awesome. The downside is that many of the bowls/plates that the food is served on are chipped and this creates poor presentation for the food and doesn't portray the good quality food that is actually served. If they can fix this up then the place will be 5 star in every way.

I was there with two other friends, had lots of fun ordering from the electronic menu. The service was great and efficient. Food was nice and of very good value. Will definitely go back.

We are very satisfied with the meal and service there. $51 for 2 people (but we had our drinks and dessert else where, otherwise it might be $70-$80 for 2 people). Eel fried rice in the hot pot is great, the rice is crispy. Mix sushi role, very fresh and the rice taste so good. Mix grill - prawn, chicken, ox tong and salmon, wonderful and not too dry. Which is excellent. Grilled king fish (just 2 fin), price around $7, taste good! Seaweed salad taste good, spicy!

Fast service, we didn't have to wait too long without booking. Excellent japanese food with a twist and lots of variety. Great for a fun night out.

I love this restaurant, I've been here twice and both times I've had fun dining in this place. The food is nice and fresh and well presented and the ambience is perfect for a group outing. Good value for money too.

Fantastic place to eat. My girlfriend and I loved it there, we went back a week or too late but could not get in as it was a 45 minutes wait and we had a place to be.
I highly recommend it, service is outstanding, food is great and those touchscreens add a nice way to order in your own privacy rather than having to be waited on.

When we were there, it was busy and loud and 2nd time too busy to get in, so if you want something quiet then this is not the place for you, but the ambience is still very good. Thumbs up.
