Tony looked after our Christmas party like a pro. Constantly changing numbers, sudden vegetarian - no worries he made it all happen with ease. What a great night, great food and service was excellent. We has a set menu and it was above what you expect for a set menu. The Salmon in particular was divine. Thanks for a great night.

We had a family birthday meal at Vinnie's and really enjoyed the whole experience. The building and decor are dated but clean and presentable and the service is excellent. We had breads, pasta, Veal and the magnificent Seafood Platter, and all were superb. The Veal was divine and the Seafood Platter looks awesome and was cooked to perfection.
We had a lovely Sauvignon Blanc and a nice red which we were delighted with. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the kids particularly appreciated the Illusionist who entertained them. Some of the kids had the Children's meals which are standard kids fare and good value but they all got into the Seafood Platter and a couple said they want the adults food next time.
We were all very pleased and had no complaints at all with the food or service. All of our party left happy and satisfied and eager to return, perhaps, next time without the kids so I don't have to share the Seafood Platter with them. Vinnies is well worth the drive.

Went for a Friday lunch and had a brilliant time, started with the bruscetta (tomato one and a pumpkin one, both perfect) and then some lovely zucchini flowers. Owner Tony was very chatty and welcoming which on this occasion was entirely suitable, he talked about where he got his produce from which I like too (if I was there for a romantic dinner I might not have liked it, but since it was a lunch with friends it was cool) Then I had an excellent linguine marinara, very big serve, no room for dessert. Had Italian white wine with the lunch, very unusual for me as I normally never drink before 6pm. All I can conclude was I was clearly enjoying myself!
Response from Management:
Thank you for your kind and honest review of your visit to Vinnies. Hope to see you again soon. Cheers

Food - Beer and Wine list - The restaurant is only a few doors down from Dan Murphy's and yet nothing decent to be found on the list.
Menu - Dull, unimaginative and too few choices.
Fried Whitebait and Scallop - Three dried out fritters on a few pieces of Rocket. Bland and boring, tasted rather like frozen fish fingers.
Baby Goat - Meat wasn't fresh and had small pieces of chipped broken bone. The plate was drowned in overcooked soggy vegetables.
Chocolate Cake - Dry, bland and boring. Tasted like it had been sitting for a while on a shelf somewhere.
Ambience - Dated but inoffensive. Abstract art prints hung wrong side up, one would assume they couldn't tell the difference. View of traffic on the Highway outside the windows, but what do you expect given its location.
Service - Service was good, no complaints. Waiter made a few gaffs but nothing worth writing about.
Value - Extremely overpriced considering the unimaginative menu, the poor quality of the food, the area and the location.
Will never return.
Response from Management:
Thank you for your comments and review. It seems that nothing about Vinnies has made you happy which is concerning to us and we will take on board your feelings. One thing that does come to surprise is the comment about the abstract prints being wrong side up, these were placed how they are by the artist herself, just a thought. Once again thank you for your honesty. Cheers

I was a regular at Vinnies as I live locally, I enjoyed the food and the service was good. I will not be going back to Vinnies after my last visit thanks to a 'photographer' attempting to con me into purchasing photographs, this alleged photographer presented poorly and was rather invasive, he gave the impression that he was taking photographs for the establishment (something my partner and I would have been proud to partake in) then hit us with the prices after asking for our address.
After advising this person that I am in fact a fraud investigator by trade, he became less demanding and disappeared for the rest of the evening.
After paying for our meals for the final time, I decided to complain to the manager and found out that the photographer does not work for the establishment and just comes in off his own bat on weekends to destroy people's evening's with his fraudulent conduct.
Thank you for the great memories Vinnies, unfortunately, we won't be returning.
Response from Management:
Thank you for your honest comments. We are sorry you feel this way but leave it to your discretion to come back any time you like. It will be our pleasure to have you at Vinnies any time soon. Please reconsider, thank you.

Very overpriced food. Nothing gross that we had to send back but definitely zero to rave about. Could have eaten a cheaper and way more classy meal somewhere closer to the City where you'd expect to pay the prices Vinnies are charging and you'd get a better meal.
Paid $33 for five prawns on the BBQ prawn dish. John Dory was fried in about 5 mm of breadcrumbs and looked like a pub meal. In fact, most of our dishes (at our table of 5) looked and tasted like pub meals. Dessert brownie was a huge let down, $12 for a piece of bland cake I could have done a better job of cooking at home. All food lacked flavour and finesse.
And the accordion player (backed up with the drum machine) was not necessary. Totally tacky and disruptive to what should have been a pleasant night out.
Response from Management:
Thank you for your honest comments. It would be our pleasure to have you back at Vinnies to try our new desserts on us. Our accordian player is still here on Saturday nights as wanted from our customer’s requests. Once again come and give us another go and try the new desserts on us. Print this out and bring it with you. Cheers and thank you.

We went to Vinnies for a family celebration and I did not expect the quality of food and wonderful atmosphere. The seafood platter was as good as I've had, and the magician entertained us all...great fun!
Response from Management:
Thank you for your kind comment. Please come and visit again soon. check us out on facebook and keep in touch with our regular deals weekly. Cheers

Attended a christening on November 28th. Beautiful food but extra special service. Everything I asked for I received if we wanted more salad, bread etc the waiters never said no. All had smiles on their faces and looked happy to be there. I felt privileged to be served by this group of staff.
Response from Management:
Thank you..thank you..thank you. This means a lot to us as we tyr and please all our guests in special ways be it a smile or something extra. Don't hesitate for your next function to contact us for any special requirements. Thank you once again.
