I would come hear every time as its always great food, service and price. As a local Vinery is my pick of places. Initially we've gone there for breakfast (with toddler and baby in toe) and have had no problems with space for the pram. Last night my husband and I went for dinner and it didn't disappoint. We both like our food to have flair and talk-ability. We loved everything from the wine to the complimentary soup, mains and entree. It was all superb. Highly recommended by us both. It really was faultless. Even the background music hit the right notes. Well done Joe, you should be proud.

I could eat the pulled lamb shoulder salad every day it is that good and only about $15 - better value and more delicious and fresh than most places. I can't believe this restaurant isn't booked out every night. I live close so I'm a bit biased, the food is great, everyone that I've taken there has mentioned they would go back, the wine is good, and definitely not over priced. Love it!

I went to Vinery for dinner last night. Having been for breakfast a couple of times and looked at the dinner menu I was keen to give it a go. It was terrific! There were three of us so we shared two small dishes and two large. Loved the octopus and my friends loved the scallops. The seafood ragu was light and delicate, a great dish to have alongside the duck, which was rich and succulent. Really good wine list. Service was excellent. I'm looking forward to going back and introducing other friends to this wonderful place - made even better that it's just 20 minutes walk from my home.

What a great neighbourhood restaurant! I have wanted to go before but just didn't get around to it until last Friday night. Spoke to Joe, the owner, to make my booking during the day and he was lovely. Dinner was delicious - I had the pate and a salmon fattoush salad. The salmon was perfectly cooked which is hard to do when it's the tail. The parsley was so abundant and fresh. My friend had the pork, and his only complaint was he wished it had come with some sort of potato or starch.
Service was above and beyond, with waitstaff helpful and available but not overbearing. I would have loved to try dessert but my waistline overruled my heart. Will definitely be back again and want to try breakfast.

Vinery is a tops little cafe, the owner (Joe) is a lovely bloke and I have been quite a few times, always impressed. The staff are attentive, efficient and friendly - something most cafes in Sydney sadly are not. Like the fact that a bottle of water joins you as you sit down, such a simple thing but is always a nice touch.
Have had brekky here mostly and it is always great, last time I had the haloumi/poached eggs thing and it was really (really) good. Mrs had some poached eggs and smoked trout, loved it. Coffees were excellent and the ambience/vibe is really nice, prices are a bit up there but you have great value for money which is a winner.

This evening my mate and I decided to go to the Vinery in Annandale for dinner as it was on the way home.
I have to say that I was blown away by the absolutely amazing food that was presented to us. I'm certainly not a food critic, but I have eaten at almost every well known restaurant in Sydney and "The Vinery" stands up against the very best of them all.
In fact, what would easily have been a $300 dinner for two including a select bottle of wine anywhere else in Sydney with the same high standards in service, taste and presentation as "The Vinery" was only $130 here. Enough said.
These guys deserve the very best that comes to them.

What a surprise! Stumbled across Vinery Foods for lunch today, in fact as I type. Fantastic wine list and interesting choice of beers, my choice was Viking Pilsner. Food was very good or at least my choices from the tapas selection were fantastic. A retro inspired duck crepe a la orange and jamon serano. Both delicious. Service was attentive and personal as you would expect of a community focussed restaurant.

The Vinery was a lovely surprise. There used to be a Greek restaurant in the building which was good, but the Vinery is great! There are tapas and mains. It is a very 'meaty' menu, not very many vegetarian options unfortunately. I had the onion and anchovy tarts from the tapas list and a 'side' of smoked trout. Yum! The trout was such a generous serve and the tarts gave a delicious tasty salt hit. It was filling but not heavy which was perfect for lunch.
My partner had a pork and prawn dish (?) which he is still raving about. Service was impeccable, efficient and knowledgeable waitress. Coffee was good. Prices were good. The breakfast and dinner menu looked enticing too. I highly recommend it. It has a unique and creative menu for Annandale, sort of a European/Mediterranean influence. I agree with previous reviewer Mick M that this type of meal would cost twice the price elsewhere. I will definitely go back.

Yum! From the homemade muesli and labne, with just a hint of the middle east to those crazily good beef cheeks with polenta. Vinery is the best dining experience in the Inner West. The coffee is sensational too! You have to try it. You'll be hooked. I know we are.
