    Great late night dining destination in sydney, traditonal italian food served by friendly and efficient staff can't wait to go back.

    Horrible service! Avoid this restaurant! It took a ridiculous 3 hours to receive our supposed 'third' course, if you consider salad a course. Other than that we ordered a simple pasta and pizza (which was plain and boring). Arrived at the restaurant at 9pm and received the third dish, the pizza, at midnight.

    We waited over an hour in between each dish. Politely spoke with the management with good intentions. Conveyed our thoughts about the very slow service so they can improve the service for future patrons. He started to get Extremely angry at this comment. Told me if I wanted fast service I should have told them in the beginning.

    Apparently making your patrons wait over an hour in between courses was normal practise. He continued to shout at me and asked what I wanted from him. I said all we wanted was to be informed of any delays. He did not want to accept this feedback and continued to shout at me. The restaurant senior staff approached us to understand why the management was shouting. The management instructed him not to bother talking to me.

    A simple apology would have sufficed but now he has driven me to write a review to warn others not to eat here! Horrible! Rude! I was not surprised when I found negative reviews from other disappointed patrons on other restaurant review websites. I wish I had read them earlier!

    I can see why this place already has a high rating! I went there on a Wednesday night last week with my two baby boomer parents for my Dad's birthday. Was a quiet night, we were the only patrons, however I can imagine it'd be packed on main nights.

    This place is absolutely gorgeous! Loved the decor and furnishings, our waiter was really friendly, and I also appreciated that they changed the music a little while after we got there from some pretty explicit RnB (probably for their Friday and Saturday nights) to some pleasant Italian easy listening music without having to be asked.

    The food was excellent, they advertise authentic Italian and it didn't disappoint. The thin crust pizzas especially were a standout! Also liked the extensive wine menu which included Italian wines.

    Glad you noticed the authenticity of the italian food, we shipped our oven all the way from italy and hired an italian chef to really create the same food you get in rome, not the aussie version of it, and lots of people like yourself have given us positive feedback on it, which makes it all worth it!

    We're so thankful for this new place in our neighbourhood. We went already twice and tried the Pizzas as well as the Pasta. The servings are large and I found the pizza to be very authentic Italian. Service is fast and friendly and the fact that on both occasions one of the owners were around as a host made us feel very welcomed.

    The atmosphere is great, with the little terrace out the back as well as the interior design - very stylish. On our second visit we used a voucher from a group buying site. We experienced many restaurants dropping their level of attention or service the moment you mention the use of such voucher. This definitely wasn't the case here. We still felt very appreciated and the owner even came over for a little chat with us.
    We'll be back for more!

We brought in a very expensive pizza-only oven all the way from Italia when we moved in and hoped it would give our pizzas the edge amongst a city that now sports many 'gourmet' pizzas.     I don't know if you went to the right place because I loved the place! It was great. They were very friendly staff and food was amazing. When I went last night, I had the fettucine della villa and the proscuitto and rucola pizza and it was maybe the best meal I have had in 6 months. I am from sicily and it was if I were back at home. Definitely my 1st choice in Sydney :)

    I was surprised when I came on here to put this review in to see the previous reviews which do not do this place justice at all!

    I went for second time last Saturday and found it to be amazing. The food did take a bit long to come out but with such a great atmosphere and friendly staff I barely minded. When it did arrive it was delicious, we had the 'pollo al forno' and it was to die for, well worth the money indeed. I was also impressed to see the authentic Italian menu, not just another Aussie version but the true feel of Sicily.

    I tipped the waitress well because she gave great service and I came on here to write this review to give my new regular Italian restaurant a wrap :)

    Vile, vile , vile. I feel sorry for the waitstaff who had to serve the revolting inedible food. We should have done a runner. Three of us sent our meals back to the kitchen to be actually cooked. Shame on you Villa, your chef ought to be fired immediately.

Moreso, I have noticed that you only registered on eatability a few weeks ago and have only done one review.     Went there with 12 friends for a birthday celebration and had one of the worst meals I've ever had in Sydney. Only one person at the table was able to finish their meal, 3 meals were sent back to the kitchen - 1 for being seriously undercooked, 2 for being cold.

    It was incredibly disappointing and embarrassing for the birthday boy because he'd chosen the restaurant. Out of politeness we tried to struggle through the meals at the beginning, we were hungry especially as the starter bread we ordered came with the mains. Two of the steaks were so undercooked they were soft like a squishy pillow because the meat was so raw.

    My pasta, with prawns that were still cold in the middle was bland so I asked for some Parmesan, I sprinkled it over my meal before realising that though it looked like parmesan it tasted like blue cheese. I guess it was off. The 2 lasagnes were cold in the middle and when they came back from the kitchen they had be totally nuked into rubbery inediblity. The chicken in the chicken salad was unbelievably tough.

    The prices were high, and the quality was appalling. The waitress tried hard and we all felt sorry for her - what a dreadful time she must have serving that rubbish.

    It is nice to see that as a competing business it is good for your business to make up a fake review. Thankfully eatability has a fantastic system of 'weighted scoring' - so profiles like yours that are created one day, do one review, and then never have any other activity do not count.

    For the record all our wait staff are males, so there could not have been a 'waitress' and there is absolutely no bookings for 12 people anywhere near the date you posted this review.

    Nice attempt to sabotage a new restaurant in the area that is trying to lift the bar, however our customers & people that view this false review will be able to see from a mile away it is not genuine.
