I read the reviews then made the trip out there, not easy to get a parking spot during the day, I bought a lamb and chicken yeeros, cost me just over $21, although it was fresh cut meat the lamb was salty and oily, the chicken was salty too but quality tender pieces and oily.

I tried the chicken yeeros and it was delicious. The meat was fresh and tasted really good. The garlic sauce was nice as well. I recommend it if you were around and in the mood for a good kebab.

Heard a lot about this place over the years and have to say that paying 28 bucks for two yeeros and a small plate of chips had me wondering? nothing special, Head ten minutes down the Princes Highway to somewhere else and the same will cost around 20 bucks and you will get better quality.

Anyway, I always love this place, been eaten there since 1995, yes the price increase! yes the restaurant ambience and atmosphere change! (for better) but the taste always the same, for me they are still one of the best Yerros in Sydney!, definitely will always come back there for their tasty lamb Yerros.

The food was ok, however the service was appalling and they made a number of mistakes and they tried to say I was in the wrong even though the employee could not understand me as she barely spoke english. I will never go back there again and I will never recommend anyone else too. The cost of the food was over priced and not worth it.

Their yeeros is $9.80 which is a total rip off. I had a beef yeeros and the beef made the whole yeeros a challenge to eat due to the saltiness. You could see through the staffs faces that they were completely stressed.

Went for a Yeeros today, very generous portions but the people working in there are extremely rude. The woman who served me gave me the wrong change and the price of sauce is hidden charged at an extra 20c. Would definitely go again, but I find it hard to tolerate the people everytime I visit. Their concern to them looks like how much cash they can haul, with no respect for the customer.

    P.s. I'm not a racist, I'm Greek myself.

This shop has very generous portions. I've only had the lamb & beef so I can't comment about the chicken. But when I get a craving this is where I head. I've never had bad service, in fact, I once went back twice in one day (once for lunch and again to bring one home) and the staff remembered me. My wife and I both ate off the one we brought home and we were still stuffed. And whether you say Yeeros or Gyros (what I'm used to), it's not a kebab. There is a difference.

I think that the below negative reviews about the service are a bit harsh. This is an extremely busy shop and if the staff are a little brusque or make a mistake with your change, they can be forgiven, these minor little quibbles and once you actually eat something from here, you won't be bothered too much. Their Yeeros concoctions are generous and tasty, their chips appear to be handcut and fresh batches are always being cooked so you know that they have not been sitting in the bain marie for half an hour when you get them but their hamburgers are simply sublime.

I just had one for lunch today: well done with bacon and cheese and salad, no sauce and it was so good, it has totally soaked up my hangover. It was nicely constructed, not sloppy and tasted so good I wish I had another one in front of me right now. Back to the service comments: The people that run this shop are very friendly and polite, yes busy and sometimes flustered, but nice people making good food so give them a try next time you are in Marrickville and have a hankering for a really tasty and well made burger or yeeros.

$9.80 for a kebab (yeeros), plus they have the hide to charge you 20 cents extra for your choice of sauce. That's right, even plain old chili sauce. No, will not be going back. Nothing here that I cannot get for about $7 almost anywhere else. Shame, used to be good, but now very overrated.
