Came here for brunch in a group of 8. It was absolutely packed but only after a short 5 min wait, we were promptly seated. Service was great, however, you could tell that everyone was under the pump because the waitress mixed up a tea order twice and very shortly told us that water was self service which was quite rude!

Food was great, most of us had the uliveto breakfast with free range eggs, chicken chipolata, grilled tomato and thick slice of crusty bread. All yummy and cooled off by having a nice fresh watermelon juice. Love the buzz here and will defo be back!

I have recently discovered Uliveto and now find myself there on an almost daily basis. I enjoy the menu, though I think it could probably stand to have a little more variety added. I am disappointed by how rarely the specials board changes because I'm always eager to try the chef's new creations. When I've been here on weekends, I find the place to be very busy and sometimes ill-equipped to handle the number of customers. During the week though, there is generally a pleasant atmosphere. The service varies, depending on the waitstaff looking after you and how busy it is. I find the owner to be slightly abrupt but quite accommodating. The coffee art really brightens my day. I'm disappointed to see so many low reviews because I quite enjoy the vibe of this quirky little cafe.

My god, I've never dealt with such rude service. The food and coffee was pretty good but nothing amazing, my poached eggs hardly ran at all and the 'toast' was not toasted and was simply one small piece of bread cut in halves. Serious attitude adjustment required.

I recently organised a nice Sunday brunch with my friends at Uliveto Cafe. However, I will Never be eating there again. I find it ironic that this cafe supposedly prides itself on its 'excellent service'. The wait staff were extremely rude, arrogant and had terrible attitudes. They were unprepared for how busy it was and took this out on the customers.

Halfway through confirming our order, the waitress muttered something under her breath and angrily stormed off because one friend was talking and didn't notice what the waitress was asking. When we asked about table water, the waitress gestered toward the tap and rudely said 'It's self-service'. At the end of the meal, I noticed that several waiters behind the counter were openly mocking and mimicking my friends' laugh.

We were made to feel unwelcome here and that they didn't need our custom. There are too many other great cafes in the area to choose from to warrant giving Uliveto another go.

I have been a regular customer of this place for 4 years. I have recommended this place to a lot of people, but after the experience I had on monday (queens bday) I will not be returning, and inform Everyone what rude arrogant horrible service we had, all because we asked 3 times where our coffees were, and after we ate our meals, 45 minutes later still no coffee!

Finally when they did come, our friend told the waitress 'we won't be paying for those coffees' the senior staff came out to see us and started the biggest scene to the point where he threatened to call the police, and was screaming obscenities, and accusing all of us of being blind and not seeing 'how busy' they were. Is it the patrons problem that they are busy? They shouldn't be in business if they can't handle being busy on a public holiday! What a shame! Facebook will have a field day with this once posted!

Seriously, I used to come to this place all of the time as my regular Sunday breakfast venue. The past two occasions I have had the most rude and disorganised service (not to mention bad food) I have ever had.

The first occasion the waiter was muttering under his breath because he expected me to recite my entire order back when paying rather than knowing what we had ordered. The second occasion was even worse, the waiter told me off for seating myself (which was odd as no one was actually talking to or informing the line up of guests waiting), our coffees didn't turn up and then came after our food, the waiters were crashing into each other, my scrambled eggs were a slop thrown on a bed of mooshed avocado, and when I went to pay, the guy at the counter didn't even speak to me, just grabbed my card, processed it, handed it back and walked off!

I say, walk an extra 5 minutes down to Zinc in Potts Point where the service is impecabble and the food is scrumptious. The wait staff/cafe senior staffs at Uliveto have a completely bad attitude towards customer service and I am really sorry to say that I will not be going back.

My partner and I made the trip to Kings Cross to Uliveto on a recommendation for brunch today and had a very pleasant experience. When we arrived we had to wait a few minutes for a table so the waitress set up a pillow on a wall for us to sit on, gave us some menus and took our coffee order. We were seated not long after and our coffees were ready when we got to our table.

The menu is nicely varied and we couldn't believe how reasonable the prices were. We ordered the sundried tomato, fetta and olive omelette, and the sauteed mushrooms with poached eggs. The food did take a long time to come out as the restaurant was full. Both meals were tasty, and the mushrooms didn't make the toast they were sitting on soggy which tends to happen quite often. I would definitely like to go back to Uliveto again to try some of the cakes and pastries they had on display!

I've been going to Uliveto before it expanded, I love the food and the service. Everything I've eaten here has been great, except the lamb sausage sandwich, which is a little tasteless with ricotta, some greens and onion, it needs something else to give it abit of zing! I would definitely recommend this little gem.

Not only the ambience is fantastic, but the food is superb with friendly service. A little bit of Europe in Sydney! Highly recommended!
