The food at Udee is a wonderful change from the extremely average Thai cuisine that plagues Sydney. Very reasonably priced, lovely decor and attentive service (attentive, not intrusive!). The only drawback is the choice of 90s love ballads as the soundtrack, and even that is a small thing in the face of such consistently great food.

A new find in my local area, this is now my favorite Thai restaurant. Upmarket Thai food without paying upmarket prices. Some of the dishes are spectacular, and there's a great range of options on the menu, almost every one looks worth a try.

The signature dish, Udee stir fry is my favourite. I also strongly recommend the masaman curry, which is beautifully cooked, the meat falling apart at the slightest touch. The BBQ dishes come with a wonderfully tasty tamarind sauce, and even the stir fried vegetables taste uncommonly good.

The decor is a big improvement from the previous restaurant here, and the service could not be more friendly. So it's a great setting for a quiet night out or a big group, and a welcome variation in an area known for its Chinese cuisine.

Udee Thai is amazing. I have been about a dozen times since this restaurant opened its doors in October 2010. Each time the food has been outstanding. I've never been disappointed with a dish from Udee. The flavours are fresh, the portions are more than adequate, and the prices are very reasonable.

The owner is positively lovely. She is very friendly and has a lot of pride in the food her kitchen serves. Sometimes we go in not knowing what to order and Sheree will suggest meals from the menu, and sometimes has whipped up something something completely new. Udee is definitely a pleasant change from the Chinese fare pitted along Liverpool Rd. It is great for a quiet meal for two or a relaxed meal with a table of friends.

My wife and I live in the area and go to this restaurant regularly. I must say that it is one of the friendliest restaurants we have been to and they are particularly kind with our very small baby. I do not consider myself a "food expert" or particularly experienced with Thai food (to know if Larb should be on the menu or not!). What I do know is that the restaurant serves quality food, which is nicely presented, is inexpensive, in a tastefully renovated and very clean environment.

A lot of money must have been spent on the decor of this restaurant - The Thai restaurant before it lasted only a very short time. I will be surprised if this one also does not last. No larb meals - a must in summer time and most Thai restaurants have them but not this one. Why not? I tried the massamum curry chicken which was okay but the panang chicken was 90 percent vegetables - a very bad sign as it is a very cheap way to make a dish. Unacceptable. Will need to change in order for me to return.
