I went to this noodle bar this afternoon, the food is too salty and the serving is a bit small. But that's ok, it is still acceptable. There is one thing very disappointed is the service is really bad. When we told the lady (the cashier, or maybe the senior staff) the soup is too salty, could we have some plain soup to mix in, we had been told that we need to pay another 2 dollar. Ok, that is fine, we can pay for it.

But when the second soup noodle coming, there was the same problem. So we tell that lady that soup still got the same problem, she talked to us with an angry face: "our soup is fine, I think the problem is you not suit to eat outside!" Oh, my god. I cannot believe that answer is from that senior staff's mouth. We don't want to say any more, but when we still eating, the senior staff came with the bill and asked us to pay, ok we paid, then we keep eating, five minutes later, another waitress came and asked "could we take the dish away?" cannot understand why she cannot see we still eating.

Anyway, we won't go back to this noodle bar again, cause the poor service!

Not sure why we keep going back for lunch but I must admit, this is not the best noodle place but we do like the concept of the chilli and sour soup base.

The truth is their noodles are cooked very inconsistently; they can be perfectly cooked one time or simply overcooked and become too soft at times.

The chilli and sour ratings can also varied - the medium hot / sour this time can easily become little hot / sour the next time. Quality control and consistencies seems to be the key issue. Oherwise, it is quite tasty and addictive.

Snacks are quite pricey consider the size of the plate. Service from the waiting staff are always efficient but the kitchen can get slow at times.

If you order the “sheng wan” noodle with the beef brisket and turnip then you probably would have noticed that the look and the texture of the turnips which doesn’t seem quite right. This has always been the disappointment of this dish; I wished that they have used fresh turnips and cooked it the conventional way.

The other criticism on the other noodle dishes are that the pork slices carries a very strong he “fridge” smell. Not sure whether it is the way it has been stored.

Either way, if you treat this as a tiny little lunch place not a hatted restaurant then there is no complaint - is there ?

My partner and I had dinner here Friday night. The place was full but service was prompt. We ordered two side dishes - cold tofu and bruised cucumber and two pork-based noodle soup. We had to decide on the chilli and sour rating for the noodles - medium chilli and low/none sour. We enjoyed the two side dishes - the tofu is really quite soft - better than shop-bought. The soup is another matter - not much better than plain water. With the added chilli and sour its bearable. The noodles was too soft - overcooked. Bottom-line: there are other better noodle shop in in china town, equally cheap.

I went there yesterday and had a meal with three friends. We each had our own noodle soup and a drink. The noodles were nice- the soup tasted a little funny at first mainly because there was a type of spice in the soup that im not too fond of... but after a few spoonfuls in my mouth it became very delicious. The noodles were nice and the meat/ veggies that were inside were also very flavoursome. I loved the honeydew ice tea even though its just honeydew syrup in green tea. Service wasn't fantastic but nothing bad happened, we were served when necessary with ok manners. I will be back again!

Something a little different, affordable food which I liked but my partner thought was average. Choices felt limited though and my ice tea, all the taste was stuck at the bottom. I would come back and try other dishes. The food came out at a reasonably rate and reasonably valued. My partner would have given this half the food score I gave if she rated!

We were there on Saturday for lunch, the restaurant was not busy and we got a seat straight away for 2 people. Waiter 1 took our order and we received our napkin and cutlery.

15 mins later, we started to notice that customers who came in after us, have already received their orders. So we decided to query Waiter 2 on the status of our order. Without consulting the kitchen, she tells us "Its Coming, Its Coming".
So we decided to wait another 5 mins, the order still didn't come out, so we asked the lady behind the cash register.

We told her that we have waited for 20 mins and we still haven't received our 2 noodles and drink. She also said the order is coming. A minute later, the lady comes back to us, with a print out docket stating that out order was placed into the system 2 mins ago so we should be complaining. At this point of time, we were so ticked off! As to why our order was only placed into the system 2 mins ago.

5 mins later, Waiter 2 noticed that we still haven't received our food (finally someone noticed!) she consulted with the lady and the chef and that's when they noticed that they have actual lost our order! The lady came up to us and told us that she lost out order. But at that point of time, we were so pissed off! Not at the fact that they forgot out order, it was that the fact that the lady had printed a docket saying that out order had been entered into the system!

Bad service! we just stormed out of the restaurant! We headed to a lunch at Japanese restaurant, where we received excellent service!

This place is the bomb. We've been trying to find an authentic Chinese place in Sydney for ages. No fried rice or short soup here. I've studied in Unnan, China and I can say this is the closest thing to being there except it's cleaner. Haha.
Be careful what chilli level you choose though, I like it hot and even I struggled with large. I chose the Kunming because the waitress said it had a bit of everything and it comes with a mini side dish. Definitely come back and see what the rest is like.

This place is fantastic value! The noodles are perfect for winter, especially with some chilli, and the soup is delicious.

Walking past this noodle place many times, I decided to try this place out today. It was very disappointing.

Service overall was very bad. My partner and I both ask for small chilli, but when the dishes came out one was not chilli and other was medium, it was very visibly different with one dish very red and other not at all, don't know how they missed that. Had to ask for water twice before it came as well.

The noodle dish itself wasn't very spectacular. The chilli and sourness overpowers the dish. The dish portion and contents were good for its price though, just that can't really taste it. Noodle was ok, the soup was undrinkable unlike a good noodle soup. The side dishes were acceptable but portions are a bit small (about 7 thin slices of beef for one serving).

The real turn off is at the end when we paid the bill and waited at the table for the change. And waited and waited. Apparently they decided just to keep the change for tips. This aggravated me and we left without asking for it, and probably won't be back.

Twisted Noodles, the place for noodle lovers. *Best Noodles Ever!* Try the extreme chili with your choice of meal, but be warned, Very Hot and Chili!! Love this place, I eat here now at least once a week, the people are friendly, the staff are great (and pretty, always a plus) and they know they're noodles. Prices are pretty great as well, can have a great meal and still have money in your pocket for drinks, 10/10 for Twisted Noodles.
