Was one of the many people told that the restaurant was "closed" on a Sunday and had our booking cancelled. Curiously rang on the day of the booking, only to find out they were actually trading and they apparently "didn't bother" to notify those who had the booking originally. They rudely hung up on us in mid conversation so I will not be returning there with that kind of service. Not recommending this place to anyone.

The side salad was dressed in cheap vegetable or olive oil that was cheap.
The scotch fillet was thin and lots of fiberous material and fat.

Sunday evening meal with three other people. All us were thrilled with our meals and service. Not sure that the live band was a great addition as that type of venue is more for patrons to talk and the music tended to add to the background traffic noise etc. Would have preferred a bit less noise.

Dined at Tuscany last night and had the most excellent meal. There has been a very recent change of management and menu. We had a pear and gorgonzola salad which was just exquisite, a delicious ragu and one of the best steaks I have ever tasted. When it comes to Italian food I am very particular about it being authentic, which is a real rarity in Sydney!
I could not fault anything, it was superb. Service was also very good and the ambience is second to none. The management is obviously very keen to please with a complete turn around of this restaurant. Give it a try and you will be very pleasantly surprised.

I have seen mixed reviews here but after trying it for myself I didn't think it was too bad! I ordered the ricotta spinach agnolotti which was just superb! My boyfriend ordered the homemade gnocchi which tasted a bit bland and overcooked. The service was pretty good and the ambience was very nice. I would just come back for the agnolotti!

Overall I can say I enjoyed my time at Tuscany. The food was enjoyable, well seasoned and fresh delivering everything I expected. the biggest downfall was the service. 20 min at the table before we called the waiter over to order and ask for water, in a quiet lunch service. Having to keep calling him over to refill our water, clearly not keeping his eyes open. Plenty of room to improve if they cared about it but no real reason to stay clear.

Worst Italian I've eaten at on Norton st. Served a frozen lasagne, I was told I'd get a new fresh one, my food came back and it was the same plate just put in the microwave. More a pile of melted cheese than a lasagne. Bruschetta was stale bread with unseasoned tomatoes. Drinks were watered down and service slow.

Food tasted like airplane food. Mussels were under cooked, the tomato base lacked any flavor, risotto too oily, salad dressing too cheap sweet. Extremely expensive. I would have rather stay at home and cook myself. It's incredibly difficult to get Italian this wrong. The little Italy of Sydney should share a collective embarrassment for this restaurant. Bad produce, tacky ambience, tables a bit small and overpriced. Never again.

This is an outstanding restaurant in the heart of the Leichhardt dining strip. Service is efficient, although being such a busy night, not as friendly as it could have been and the ambience is comfortable and stylish. And as usual, there was a good crowd, so you won’t ever be alone in this restaurant.
Four of us dined and after lopping off $25 for entree, our bill came to $390 a reasonable $. For that, we got two starters, four mains, two serves of bread, all round and a couple of drinks. That’s not bad value for a first class restaurant. Ha Ha Ha Ha. Can I get my money back.

Visiting Sydney for birthdays last night we took two elderly female friends to Leichhardt for a nice Italian meal.
We walked the early end of Norton St close to Parramatta Rd and found Tuscany as it looked refined and the menu on display was extensive. (We did arrive early evening) the service was very attentive and was the case right throughout our visit. Food came out very quickly, beautifully presented. All three waiters were very kind and professional, the food was faultless and I am a very fussy eater and a whinger!
The four of us all had different meals and everyone was delighted with their choice, wonderful coffee and desserts to wrap up with. The meals were not cheap, but indeed a case of you get what you pay for and one would have to include service in that statement.
I came on the site to recommend Tuscany to others and hope you find your meals and experience as pleasant as ours. I usually always check this site prior to dining in Melbourne. Glad I did not do so before finding Tuscany! We will definitely go back on our next Sydney trip.
