This place has one of the best laksas in Sydney. The taste is perfect, and consistency is not too thick, just the way it should be. Other dishes to try are their Hai Nan Chicken and Bah Kut Teh. Prices are on par with other restaurants in the area. Overall, a great place to grab a quick lunch.

If you wanna taste a good laksa or curry in Sydney, please don't bother coming to this restaurant. Even the Chinese restaurants can cook laksa that is way more delicious than the already-expensive laksa this restaurant has to offer. I was wondering if they have been using instant ingredients to cook their laksa, the food wasn't a result of a good cook all.

Chicken Laksa! I haven't been to the cities that do world famous laksa so I wouldn't be able to set a benchmark for quality. But if I had to narrow it down to places in Sydney there would be a few to offer comparison. The laksa (regardless of beef, seafood, roast pork) at Tropicana is the best you can find in Kingsford, I daresay, the best you can find in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

It's as good as the laksa at: May's Malaysian (Mandarin Centre, Chatswood), Malay/Chinese (Hunter St, Sydney CBD) and Makan@Alice's (Thornleigh, Sydney). The laksa at Tropicana is generously served with just the right level of spiciness. The stock is not overpowering and complements the mix of noodles. It's good - I can't say anything to discredit the consistent quality that I'm served every time I've come here.

The food there is fantastic (especially the laksa). I've eaten there a few times and quite like the cafe style atmosphere. The price is not too bad either for the area, everything under $15.

Excellant value, and great taste. You don't leave there hungry. Large portions at a great price.

I had the worst experience there recently, the laksa gravy was such a disappointment. It tastes like mere prawn soup w/ coconut milk. What's worse is, when I told the staff that it didn't taste like laksa, they insisted that it WAS laksa. of course, I was insulted as well, I'm singaporean, and I know what genuine laksa tastes like. This wasn't even close to it. This minor argument went to and forth at least thrice, until I gave up. I won't ever be returning to that place, that's for sure.

Very small restaurant, more like cafe. Food is surprisingly delicious, laksa tastes very rich and filling. The Rendang is also nice though a little pricy. The Chicken Hainan is delish.
