A prime location, great ambience and funky stylish timber decor. The waitstaff are not friendly and food is nice but damn overpriced. Walk in and feel the pretentiousness and sure enough you won't want to walk in again.

Booked for a weekend afternoon, sorted with a coordinator who was really lovely though she got a few things wrong (credit back overcharged bill, missing items to be added to prepaid list). Worked out in the end. Loved and very laidback area on the Terrace, close to main streets but you don't hear it at all. Cocktails were amazing, food was mostly good, didn't like the salt and pepper squid which was way too salty and chewy.
At the beginning, the service from the waistaff was great, the girl who introduced herself was very attentive and knew what and when to bring out when we asked for food to be spaced out. Only little gripe was towards the end, someone else came up and suddenly started shouting out to all 40 of our friends that we had to move elsewhere as the space was now booked for someone else.
It would have been considerate for the coordinator to tell me beforehand or at least the waitstaff to let me know before such an abrupt announcement! They told us to move inside anywhere we liked, then immediately start grabbing bottles and dishes. It was chaotic and confusing at best. This move caused half our friends to leave. The rest who went inside to sit down got settled when the same staff member came up and told us to move again as those tables were also book. Again, more grabbing of glassware everywhere as we were hussled off to another section.
The place has an awesome atmosphere and potential to be a great place to hang out. Everyone said it was a great bar. Just don't book functions there without first looking things over and checking over all the small details, else like us, you could get random surprises like what we had experienced.

Wow, having recently moved to the area this was a welcome surprise to what I expected North Sydney to have.
The food was amazing, so fresh and well presented. The wine list had something for everyone and seemed reasonably priced. I notice from some of the comments already posted that the service is the one thing that seems hit and miss, not on our visit I can tell you!
I'm sure if you're in for a quick meal and want to get home to bed its probably not ideal, but if you're after a great night out involving time to talk and enjoy some great food and wine its a winner. Thanks Treehouse and we shall be back.

I guess this place is Ok but really, where else is there to go in North Sydney?! Some of the wines aren't bad and I love the cheese board. The staff aren't the best but they aren't the worst either. They're a "bit all talk" as on 2 separate occasions I was offered complimentary toasted bread due to a mistake on their part but they never delivered. The one time my friend reminded them, they charged us! I think there's a lack of communication between wait staff and kitchen staff.
The decor is stupid and trying to be The Winery in Surry Hills (even worse place). They could do with more vegetarian options on their menu. The upside is: there are alot of tables both in and outside And it's Not the Greenwood!

Working for National Australia Bank this place is right next door which is basically all it has going for it. Food, wine, beer are ok if a bit pricey, what really lets the place down are the rude staff. This has noticeably got worse to the point that we will not be going back.

Gorgeously outfitted and the food's generally good, if only it didn't take so long to order and to see actual food arrive. Service is a mixed bag too, the older staff are attentive, polite and very efficient. Some of the younger staff have a lot to learn from them about hospitality, especially those creating first impressions at the front door.

A beautiful place, great decor, a little out of place in north sydney but that's what attracted me to this place. It has a little bit of everything going on inside from the beach umbrellas hanging upside down, miss matched furniture to the movie theater stage to the american themed posters to the fire place in the middle but it works.
The food menu is limited with mostly shared plates, we ordered a bottle of wine to share my friends glass of wine was spilt all over her by the wait staff and wasn't offered another glass and had to mop up the mess herself. Moving on we were served by 3 different wait staff maybe 4 lost track. The market fish of the day was barramundi, on a bed of lentils, it was presented nicely just a little tasteless and bland.
My friends ordered a couple of shared plates that went down a treat! This place was buzzing on a mid-week night. Pretty nice spot for friday night drinks, I say. Hopefully we have a better experience next time we go.

Just been for lunch absolute rip off - never again! Since they changed the menu the mains are all $30+... too expensive & not value for money. One of the waitress was walking around in something she should have left at home - not right of a north sydney business crowd!

Came here with a group recently and received terrible service, we ended up leaving without ordering. Found the staff rude and unhelpful and the whole place quite pretentious.
