Great real Hanoian food, lovely family owners, prices about average for the area and a cute intimate feeling in the evening, what's not to love? Honest Vietnamese food, not smart but not pretentious. Love it.

Pho soup is fantastic and as close as you can get to Pho in Vietnam. Service good, a bit noisy if you are inside, but hey its a Vietnamese experience. Have been there 4 times and will keep going.

In a word Abysmal, avoid at all costs. We started the evening by ordering fresh rice paper roles and crispy pancakes. The freshness of the rice paper roles was destroyed by tasteless meat (there is debate exactly what the meat was and we are not sure if it was beef or chicken, it was that bad) that had been deep fried destroying all resemblance of a fresh healthy starter.

This set the scene for the crispy pancakes which were not crispy, due to the fact that they were literally dripping in oil. If only we had taken our cues from the starters and left it there. For our mains we had a sizzling duck stir-fry and Chicken curry. It was debatable under trade descriptions if you could have described the limp tasteless pieces of duck fat and skin as meat.

As for the curry, I could barely eat it after the smell of cheap curry powder that overwhelmed the dish. One of the most disgusting dishes I have eaten for a long time. All in all stay at home and share dinner with your dog. Healthier, tastier and far cheaper that the ridiculous $63 we ended up having to pay for one of the worst meals I have eaten in ages.
