Massaged with long fingernails, and then left partway through the massage to answer a telephone and deal with a tradesman at the door. Cut short the treatment by 5 minutes as well and the massage was terrible anyway in terms of pressure and movements - clearly not good technique. Tried to do the hard sell during the facial, on products I needed to buy. Just awful and actually quite laughable - she was an older lady and clearly had no idea what the competition were offering out there. It's a wonder anyone turns up to this place any longer.

I too have a voucher that I have been trying to redeem at Total Woman and I also experienced the same inexplicable rudeness from a female staff member as others have experienced. I was stunned at the tone of voice and unhelpful attitude I received. Am a massage therapist and would never treat a potential customer in that way. I cannot imagine any treatment this woman provides being relaxing at all.

I was told quite curtly that there are very restricted times during which the voucher can now be redeemed as it was purchased 6 months ago. This despite the expiry date being December 2011. I wrote to the voucher company requesting a refund as the salon does not seem prepared to honour the original conditions on the voucher. I received a prompt reply saying this would not be possible as the company is only acting as an agent for the vendor.

I am not able to use the voucher or even regift it due to the new restrictions on its use. When I explained this to the staff member, she suggested I take time off work to use it.

I am now very reluctant to buy another discount voucher online and certainly will not be recommending Total Woman to anyone. Buyer beware!

Finally I found this proper beauty salon. Had been trying a lot from eastern suburb to north, well, of course within my affordable price. Unfortunately not many of them have proper pampering room, the noises outside and inside the salon kind of killed part of the enjoyment. This one instead is hiding on the second floor of a building and was properly designed and decorated with relaxing music as well as aroma, and lol, massage bed! Unlike some other places where you would be left alone to enjoy the mask, therapist in this salon spends most of the time on massage, cleaning, makes you feel you are somebody special. Big thanks! Love this experience, definitely strongly recommend!

This place is trying too hard to up sell (over the phone and in person). Paid for a package: massage very average (Di), facial ok, but somehow forgot to perform all the services included in the package like eyebrow shaping (which I noticed after I got home, shame). While the female manager/owner was nice, I had a feeling that they are trying way too hard to sell me stuff I don't want/need.
Not the best value for money wouldn't go back.

I too received a voucher for christmas from my 9 and 12 year old daughters, and I too was subjected to rudeness by the female seniors taff. When I initially called to make the booking I was upsold further treatments to the value of over $120. I called a few weeks later to advise that I wanted to cancel the added treatments and spoke to a gentleman who was fine with that.

On the day of my massage and facial I called to confirm the appointment and spoke to the female senior staff again. Firstly she was confused about the booking. When I told her that I called a few weeks ago to cancel the added treatments she told me that I wouldn't get the $30 voucher.(which was on the initial voucher). I told her that would be ok I just wanted the facial and massage. She then told me to keep my voice down. I was stunned!

I told her not to tell me to keep my voice down and not to be so rude. She said well you are yelling. I said I'm just calling to confirm my appointment - why would I be yelling! I then told her that I really don't fancy coming in there for my treatments now (with her attitude) and she said well don't. She then hung up in my ear. I had no treatments and my kids have lost their money that they saved to give their mother a pamper treatment. I am totally disgusted!

Woow What a fantastic place and experience as I was treated like a Queen for my beauty treatment, from the moment I walk into this beautiful salon of soft music, low light and beautiful beautiful aroma and greated by Diane that comes across that she truely loves people and pampering people as just can not advice and help me enough to the most heavely treatment I ever experence before in so many.

I am yet to visit Total Woman in Chatswood to use a Christmas present voucher. I spoke to the manager or owner to clarify my voucher, and for a place that advertises to be a 'rejuvenation sanctuary' I have never been spoken to more rudely, with such impatience and the patronising attitude of a person who needs to visit the clinic herself as a client more often. I hope that the treatment is more relaxing than the conversation. To rate again after I visit.
