Been here twice and it will be our local. The Pla La Prik (Deep fried snapper in sauce) was the best I've ever had, anywhere. Fantastic service by friendly staff, who kept bringing round rice and water.
By far the WORST thai ever. I asked for a red curry, EXTRA spicy. It had NO TASTE AT ALL! Give this place a wide berth at all costs. Three of us had takeaway and all of us hated it. Can't rate the ambience, but it did arrive quickly, presumably cause, they took no thought, time or prep to do a good job.
It seems like a family owned restaurant. Food: Use of fresh ingredients, authentic flavours and open kitchen but the cooking skills are questionable. Some veges needed more cooking and the meat was not well marinated nor that tender however, we enjoyed it (especially the Pad Thai). Ambience: Nice wooden and authentic Thai decoration hanging from walls. The tables and chairs are very heavy wood!. The nicest bit was the tastefully decorated toilet!. They played rock music from White Snake which I thought was inappropriate and Thai music is a better alternative. Bus is literally at door.
Service: Not the professional attitude you'd hope for but I didn't expect that. We went past the staff on the way in who kept sitting (I thought she was a customer!). No small talk; No welcome and cold face however, there was a staff change during our meal and the real waitress did thank us on the way out. Value: Unbeatable lunch special at $7 to $8.50 (seafood) per main. Servings are big enough but you won't be stuffed.
