This is the best Thai food place in Sydney. I used to eat at Thai on Wok, until I found this place... The food is almost always amazing! I've tried all of the dishes and my favourites are Pad Thai, Pad See Eww, Green Curry (the best I've ever had) and the thai noodle stir-fry. The staff are really friendly as well! Order cashews in your stir-fry and you'll never look back.

Big servings. Large Fish Cakes, Large Curry Puffs, Large Chicken Satay sticks.
Quick service. Fantastic aromas. Kids plates and cups which was great.

So many Thai restaurants! Why is it that we seem to be bombarded by Thai restaurants everywhere.? Tom Yum's best attribute is the price. It's dirt cheap and the food arrives so fast you wonder how it was cooked in that time. Pleasant people/place, and the food is very average but not offensive. If you're hungry and in need of a quick fix without cost, this is the place for you. It's also very consistent as was last night. Consistently cheap and average.

And I agree with the previous review, I have No idea why this restaurant rates so high. There are scores of Thai restaurants in Sydney that are much more sophisticated.

Not sure why this place gets such good reviews. Perhaps I hit a bad night, but we had takeaways and it was decidely average. The cashew chicken stir fry sause was pretty tasteless, and the massamam curry sause reminded me more of panang curry. The beef was tender, but that was about the only highlight. We won't be back.

So glad this place opened up so close to me! The food is amazing- just delicious. Value is unbelievable! The staff are adorable, always smiling no matter how hectic the restaurant is, and never get annoyed by my kids mucking around with the blow-up cow near the front door. It's the perfect place to grab a takeaway dinner en route home, as I know the wait will never be too long for them to last. Great work guys.

Authentic thai, The best in Glebe and, perhaps, the best value in Syd. Favourites are the seafood laksa, pad kra powe (ask for this to be done thai style, spicy, with minced chicken - amazing), Spicy fried rice and the thai beef salad.

If fresh is key then Tom Yum Tum Gang deliver in spades. Vibrant atmosphere bustling full of hungry weekday locals. Snappy, efficient, friendly service will greet you and the food doesn't stop impressing. Menu is vast and tasty. Pad see ew is a fav. This is our regular haunt. Come and see what all the fuss is about.

Excellent Thai food in Glebe, it's quite new restaurant but both of chefs are cooking very fast w. great taste. They've been Thai chef for 10 year since I move in Glebe. I usually go for dinner after work.

Good food, freshly cooked. Great value. Very friendly service. Take away and eat, in are both recommended. (You can ask for the dishes to be authentically spicy). Tom Yum Chicken is delicious.

Update May 31 2011: still impressed. Very fresh food at a reasonable price, helpful, polite service.

Thai food is always one of my favourite cuisine and the newly opened Tom Yum Tum Gang on Glebe Point Road has definitely topped the list of my favourite Thai restaurants. Excellent food, friendly service, nice ambience, superb value for money!
