I went there last night, it was noisy and food was terribe. Every dish seemed to have the same flavour. Rather more like Chinese than Thai. The staff were not attentive either, they never cam back to ask if we wanted dessert of tea/coffee.

The drawback was that an arrogant and rude waitress persistently tried to convince me that peanuts and cashew nuts are the same thing when I'm only allergic to peanuts. She even checked with the kitchen and the chef there agreed that cashews and peanuts are the same and so the nuts they use in pad thai and chicken with cashew nut stir fry is the same. Go figure.

Absolutely love the food. I just wish the waitresses weren't so rude. Almost every time I have been I have never gotten the right order because of my dietary requirements. I always be sure to speak clearly. Even after I get my incorrect dish the waitresses always try to convince me that I ordered that particular dish that they brought out.

Don't understand why they would do that when I know what I can and cannot eat. I only gave the one star for service because of that kind man (who I think owns the store) who is the Only person there with excellent customer service skills.

Excellent - chilli fish, masman beef and stir fry prawns are to die for :p . Waiters are amazingly friendly.

Food is tasty. I like the pad Thai. Even my picky niece liked it so much. The prawns are big and fresh. Beef is a little bit tough but full of flavour. Service is warm and welcoming. Definitely coming back.

The food here is what I expected, tried a few dishes and nothing outstanding but everything was good. Ambience wise it is a small place.

Service, well I did get takeaway and always a golden rule for me is take away cutlery and they didn't give it to me. But the food did come quite quickly and the guy opened the door for me to exit.

Value: looking at the menu prices everything seems cheaper than other thai places. Vegetarian may enough this place as it seems to have more options than your usual thai place. Also they do have a website: tomyumthaiepping.com.au

We have been going to Tom Yum for over 15 years now and it really has the nicest Thai food I have tasted. Now that I work in Epping I often pop over for a lunch box. $7.90 from a select menu. Ready in 10 minutes. Always fresh, hot and tasty. Get home delivery about once a week for dinner and although it may take an hour to come it sure beats driving and picking up because in Epping it's so hard to get a park. The staff are always friendly.
