Lots of new dishes and the service has really stepped up. Nice local to have as I've just moved in to the area. The $3.50 deal has extended to wed and fri which makes it a cheap night out!

We came here for something quick to fill up our stomachs, as we had something to attend. We didn't dine in, instead grabbed takeaway so I can't comment much on the service, though the lady that greeted us was friendly and helpful. The decor is trendy and sleek with nicely dimmed lighting. Onto the sushi. There didn't seem to be much variety on the train and nothing about the sushi made it stand out for me to return if I was in the area. It was ok. Not excellent.

Cute little sushi train on Oxford Street. We came here nearing the end of their lunch session and there wasn't much left on the train, so I can't say anything about variety. However, our waiter was lovely and service was very prompt. I especially loved the soft shell crab hand roll. Like other reviewers, it's quite expensive for portion size, but I will be back.

Not much variety on sushi train, and a whole lot better trains in my local Chatswood area. BTW recently returned from Japan and only saw 1 train type place there. Saw none on my previous Japan trip too, so figure we're in a fad time warp here and Japan's moved on. I think we ought to as well.

Ordered soba noodles with tempura prawn side which was flavourless and not all that hot. Wife's prawn tempura main got forgotten so had to chase them up which wasn't good. Pretty average place if you know what else is out there but probably Ok if you don't know what you're missing. Won't be back.

Overall: fresh, delicious, slightly overpriced, great deco. To try: agedashi tofu (two thumbs way up), sashimi. nb. others in surry hills is better.

I've seen people cued up outside this little restaurant almost every night of the week. I can say that it had a great ambience and pleasant service, these are on their own right often difficult to do right. On the other hand, I didn't find the sushi worth cuing up outside for. The dishes were very much "Australianised" with an endless stream of salmon and tuna. It was fresh, but certainly nothing special other than the fact that it is the only sushi spot in the area. They could do with much more variety.

Friend took me here one evening mid-week. We took the last seats, although there were always people coming and going which gave a great ambience. The sushi was great, fresh, plenty of variety and plenty coming from the kitchen. Music added a really nice touch and made the evening great.

Food: very nice, no complaint whatsoever.

Ambience: very trendy & sheek. Bit too noisy after a while when all the seats fills up. Chair could be more comfortable.

Service: We had one girl who was excellent, but the other two were ho-hum.

Value: Bit too expensive for what it was. Out of 8 entrees we ordered, all of them were "nice" but none that was out standing. For $80 pp I wanted at least one "wow" food.

I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday and a couple of friends. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, everyone enjoyed the food, the wagyu was fantastic. My girlfriend loved it and that's good enough for me. Will be back.
