Went here for dinner Wednesday night. This is probably the best Japanese I've ever had. Succulent and high quality food, great cosy atmosphere. Efficient service. Absolutely loved it. In fact we wanted to keep ordering but simply couldn't fit any more food in!

I would highly recommend this place for any number of people, even for a romantic night out.

Revisited this place after a year. The joint used to be very exciting serving great food and sake. Somehow, it went downhill.

Service is fairly good, got a little less attentive. All the dishes were much saltier compared to my last visit. Didn't taste the elegance in the dishes at all. Sake tasted a little old (unlike wine, most sake can't be kept for years). I guess it's inevitable since not many Sydneysiders appreciate sake, hence, the old stock.

For the price I paid ($80 pp with food and alcohol), I bought a major disappointment. It'll take a lot for me to visit again.

Following is my old review - Definitely one of the better Modern Japanese in Sydney. Agree that it's on a pricey side and lighting is a little off depending on the restaurant location. However, it's one of the few places that has such an extensive list of Sake (I'm a Sake lover) on a reasonable price. Lots of Sakes from various cult breweries that I haven't heard of and they are fantastic!

Haven't tried the cocktail but have seen the bartender making cocktails non-stop in the 60 minutes that I was there. Food are fantastic. Highlights are Tuna Tataki, Kingfish Jalepeno, Miso Cod and Popcorn Prawns. All sauces are very balanced and well researched/designed.

Also, service is fantastic. Very well taken care of and the waiter took time to explain the origins of the sake and when is best to drink them (before, during and after meal). Definitely will head there again in the new few weeks. It's definitely in my list of favourites now.

Had dinner at Sake Sake recently. Overall a good experience, similar menu but not quite up to the city-based namesake, Sake.

The jalapeño kingfish was superb, a little thicker slices and all the better for it. Agedashi Tofu, cut rolls and wagyu skewers were all good. Only the tempura was a little disappointing, a bit oily and soggy.

Service was Ok, but was hoping for something a little more attentive, but maybe was just an off night.

Had dinner here last week and it was Ok but not outstanding. Maybe I am spoilt by the really good Japanese restaurants in Neutral Bay. The restaurant itself looks great, parking easy, service excellent. But I found the food, especially the mixed tempura a little greasy and other dishes could have had more flavour. The duck rolls were not a patch on the D Tunnel at Limelight in North Sydney. Overall, Ok but not outstanding.

My husband and I eat here at least once a week. It is always exceptional. This place has opened our eyes to sake (we tend to go monday's when they do 2 for 1) and their extensive range is unique. I recommend the aburi salmon roll, spicy scallop roll and miso cod and definitely some sake!

This is a great local that has me coming back. The food is very good and the service attentive. Good portions. Easy parking was handy.

A real "find" in Cammeray. We have eaten here a few times, the food has always been beautifully presented and extremely enjoyable. Some dishes are outstanding. Take the advice of the staff and you won't be disappointed.
