I came here for lunch on Saturday. I had Minestrone Soup. It was okay - not fantastic. The soup was a tad sweet and was overpowered by too much tomato flavour and pasta. It would be nice if the soup had more vegetables. The coffee was superb! Strong, full flavoured coffee with excellent froth for my cappacino. Definitely coming back for coffee - one of the best I've tried!! I ordered the pistachio biscuit to go with the coffee - that was a let down. The biscuit was overpowered with green pistachio sirrup inside. The cafe was quite small inside and need a bit of a face-lift. I'd like to sit outside to enjoy the leafy street but it was quite cold. I'd come back for coffee.

Only had coffee here, and it's really good. In this original Toby's Estate coffee shop, you'll be able to taste the true nature of Toby's Estate coffees with that Arabica coffee bean's full bodiness to its flavour. Fresh roast and fresh grind are also a bless to have in Sydney. The only problem is that they over-roast the beans a little that it has a smoky after-taste to it. If you don't like over-roasted coffee beans, then Toby's Estate is not for you. Milk is also good, there's no complaint about barista, either. It's good for coffee and a place to hang out.

Bad customer service, shop is unorganised and the workers seemed to busy to serve customers waiting. Coffee was also burnt and below standard.

1st and last time I come here. I also reccommend anyone thinking about coming here to avoid at all costs.

By the way its $4.50 for a below standard cappacino that comes in a so called "large" cup, which is small compared to most other stores.

No value, atmosphere makes you feel ignored and in their way and coffee does not taste good at all.

This review is rated for the coffee rather than the food. While the food is nice, the star of this cafe and the reason for returning is the coffee. The quality of coffee is one of the best in Sydney. The baristas take care with each coffee and this shows with each visit, consistency! The coffee is strong, silky and sweet. Adding sugar to this coffee would be a sin. If you love coffee then you have to visit this cafe!

Inner city cafe with a relaxed feel, despite the turnover. Coffee good, food refreshing. Service too busy to do more than the basics, but they are done very efficiently. Well priced.

You must try their Woolloomooloo blend. It is coffee at its best. The cafe itself is a bit cramped but the wait is worth it for their coffee.

The coffee is pretty good but it's not what I would want on a saturday morning, the breakfast simply wasn't up to scratch. It's a nice relaxing place but better food selection is desperately needed!

What is all the fuss! The coffee was average at best. The staff were so full of their own worth that I am suprised they had time to take my order.

What I look for in a good cafe'... Fantastic coffee, very good barista's, excellent service and atmosphere. They roast their coffee right on the premises. You are drawn to Toby's by that heavenly aroma from miles away.
