Had a great dining experience with group of friends today. Food was great and service was superb. Also reasonably priced, especially now when they are running a 20% off promotion. Must try!

Our family of 3 went there for dinner at 6:30pm on a Friday night. There were only 2 tables occupied and service was good. The restaurant ambience was also good. On the day we went we were told that they have discount pricing on live seafood Mondays to Fridays. So we decided to order a live lobster with noodles as a base, chinese brocolli with beef stir fried, and seafood bean curd hotpot. All served with boiled rice and chinese tea. They also served us complimentary dessert. The bill came up to $150 which was very good value. Food tasted good as well. Will definitely return.

Visited this place yesterday, steamed barramundi was good so was the scallops(entree), however, the fried rice was smokey. In general the food and service is good.

I'm surprised to see negative reviews here. We've been Tingha regulars since well before their relocation. It is a little more expensive now but the food is excellent, better than just about anywhere, including some of the very highly regarded restaurants in chinatown and chatswood.

We have had one or two experiences where the food wasn't as great as usual, but even then it was still good. Most of the time, it is excellent. Definitely the best pork buns we have had anywhere in Sydney.

Tinha is much better than anything close by, far better than others in Church Street (we went once and never went back) or the place in Rhodes (which we also went to once only).

Went to Tingha Palace for a family celebration. We booked well ahead and informed the staff that we'll be having the banquet. After finding our seat, it took them 1 hour to come and take our order! And the restaurant wasn't even busy. We spoke to so many staff that we were ready to order and the reply was that they will send someone over.

Finally after ordering, it was another 45 min for the food to come out. In the time we found our seats and got our first dishes, we saw several tables come after us, eat their food and leave. Food was ok, but the serving sizes were for 4 adults, even though we ordered a banquet for twice the number. We left the restaurant with clean plates and still feeling hungry, which isn't the experience we've had with banquets at other restaurants. The poor service spoiled our family celebration and we vowed never to return here again.

Cashier was so rude I was stunned. $200 to have a 20 year old tell me off for questioning the 'extra' pot of green tea. Wrote a letter to the director, who ignored it. Save your money. This place has zero vibe and zero service.

The trolley service for Yum Cha was extremely terrible. This is the worst yum-cha restaurant I have ever been into in terms of service. In the 1.5 hours that we were there, only 4 trolleys came by my table (the same trolleys came by more than once) and even after complaining to the senior staff and placing an order directly with him for the specific dishes that we wanted, we still hadn't received our food, and the dishes we ordered were available from the other trolleys that were going around in the restaurant (we were seated in the outdoor area).

After 20 minutes, we decided we had enough of this terrible experience and left. We will never go back there or recommend this restaurant to anyone ever! The quality of the yum-cha dishes that we had, well, we've tasted better elsewhere!

Have eaten here a few times (Yum Cha) and have found food and service inconsistent. They have some good classic dishes, dim sum etc but on my last outing there we found that the waitstaff really only wanted to offer us the dim sums or spring rolls and not the more interesting stuff. This we found frustrating when the Asian diners around us were getting offered dishes that looked much tastier.

Standards seemed to have slipped since I last visited. Food and ambience still above average, however, service and overall value have dropped.

My favourite yumcha place. They have so much variety here, and the price is good. Always packed full of people, especially on weekends. But I'm happy to wait on the line because the food is very good. May not be a fancy ambience restaurant, but hey, chinese food? You go for the taste. And the yumcha here is the best that I know in Sydney so far.
