Overview
Located on the first floor in the beautiful Sheraton on the Park Hotel, in the heart of Sydney's CBD. Times on the Park, Steakhouse Restaurant boasts a magnificient view of historic Hyde Park. Enjoy a great steak, a long lunch, a pre-theatre meal or an intimate dinner in a relaxed atmosphere, where our friendly staff will make your visit truly memorable.
I arrived at the Times for a late lunch as it was my day off from studying during the week. The waitress that served us displayed the highest and most potent levels of professionalism, politeness and esteemed knowledge of the menu. The courses were unfailingly on time and prepared to the highest of diligence in regards to detail.
I ordered the Sirloin steak and Chocolate Fondant as a dessert and was extremely pleased with both of their individual outcomes. The seat near the window proved to enhance the whole experience. The ambience was tranquil with the appropriate music in the background joining to top the atmosphere. I felt very welcomed and the check-up on any issues whilst I was having my meal was at the correct moment.
The highly majestic staircase inside the Sheraton's foyer also matches and sets the scene for the most endearing experience you could ask for when dining out in town. I will definitely be returning as it serves most acutely well for dining alone, or with additional company. Superbly recommended.
What a beautiful restaurant, great food with an air of class that it is not commercialized like so many others with water views and atrocious food. Best bit was we saw writer David Sedaris there on the day.
This restaurant needs big improvement on everything. Food remains in the old day when Gekko was the most popular restaurant in Sydney and has never changed. It's time to redo the menu. The ambience was quite dark and wasn't attracting people to walk in whatsoever. Not sure how it's survived with less than 15 customers on Friday night. Drinks were too expensive!!!
Had the lunch special as recommended by Eatability. Had the grilled sirloin with hand cut chips and béarnaise sauce and the chocolate fondant. It was Yum!!! Great food, ambience, service and fantastic value!
I had a business dinner in private dining room 20+. Great food, great service, made life easy to organise special meals (kosher) and hire equipment. Definitely great for functions.
The presentation & taste of the 2 entrees were great, but the mains were not quite to the same standard. The service was friendly but a little inexperienced. The overall experience was good, but there's room for improvement.
We revisited after 6 months with 5 business colleagues, can't believe the new lunch menu is so cheap, excellent value for money. The steaks are still amazing and thoroughly enjoyed the sumptuous dessert. Must come back for dinner with my partner.
Had our very 1st anniversary dinner after reading the reviews. Wonderful feel to the restaurant. We were looked after very well. We were served promptly and quickly. Excellent selection of wines. Price wise was good, still quite high but compare to other fine dining restaurants out there, it was considerable better valued.
Food was great but not amazing. We both had the Chocolate pudding and it was divine!! A must have! All and all, I definitely will come back. 4 stars!
I went here with my partner for our anniversary and it was just fantastic. We had the prawns for entree which were great and my partner had the steak for dinner to when he proclaimed was the best he had ever had. We had the chocolate pudding for dessert which was very good and surprisingly the bill was lower than we expected for such an upmarket restaurant. We definitely plan on returning.
Great location, nice wine list with affordable wines and the white chocolate dessert is amazing. Had dinner here with some friends and all were content by the end. Highly recommended.
