Time to Vino is a favourite of ours. I can't remember how many times we have whiled the night away with great wine and amazing food (the cuttlefish and the macaroon's are beautiful). My friends and I love going for Friday night drinks and chilling out on the chez lounge. One drink always turns into many!

The staff are really friendly and we have always been well looked after. My parents came over to visit from the UK and we decided to take them to Time to Vino so that they could experience some real Aussie wine. The owner Clint brought out a bottle of red wine that my parents said is the best wine they have ever tasted and they're no stranger to a bottle of good wine.

I would highly recommend a visit.

I took my partner to Time to Vino for his birthday, he loves french wines and food. The service was outstanding for the get-go, the owner Clint has a wonderful phone manner, we were given expert advice on the food and drink available without the snobby attitude you often find at wine bars, the food and drinks were impeccable and the night was an overall delight. We will be back!

Fantastic. Love this place been there twice and both times the service and wine has been great.

We purchased the sydney festival cheese and wine night and found it to be fantastic, the wine's and cheese's matched very well. Delicious.

Unlike the below comment if a place like this is half full; l love that then l am not trying to talk over everyone all night.

What a disappointment this was! We picked this place based on the excellent reviews posted below but nothing was up to our expectations, not least of all the food.

The entrees we picked, i.e duck and snail terrine, roasted Camembert and fried cuttlefish, were good without being wowing, but the mains...the 10h roasted beef rump was tough and chewy and the salmon way too fishy. Where was the chef that night? I think we made a mistake by picking mains, maybe this is the kind of place where one is better off sharing entrees/small plates.

The atmosphere was also disappointing as it was half empty on a Friday night and it felt more like a cafe than a wine bar. Fortunately, the wine list was interesting and the staff helpful.

    Response from Management:
My apologies if your steak was tough as it is our most popular dish and would of been replaced instantly if highlighted. The fish was served in a shellfish bisque so fishy does come to mind. Our chef Scott Mason (responsible for gaining and maintaining 2 chef hats at Bistro Moncur) was disappointed to hear your comments and would of catered to your palate if you would like to let us know next time.

Now if I could open up a bar/restaurant then I would be steeling some ideas from Time To Vino. This is just a cool funky venue and I haven't even started on the food yet.

Old vinyl records on the wall, daggy 80's music playing softly in the background (bit of Spandau Ballet never hurt anyone). The Maxwell Smart like sliding door to the toilets. It's just a fun place to be and everyone in the bar seemed to be doing just that.

As you would imagine, a vast choice of wines are available from different size glasses to bottles, from white, red and dessert and from different parts of Aus and abroad. You won't have a problem selecting something which suits your needs.

The menu is very well matched and creative. If you are there for the wine then dips and cheeses or nibblies are available. Alternatively main meals and desserts can be ordered.

We opted for the $35 tasting plate which included chicken liver parfait, baked camembert, goat and pork terine plus plenty more. Food was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to tell friends about this bar. Fantastic.

I love this place. The guys that run it are friendly and always happy to chat, they are passionate about good wine and food and make sure that everyone is really looked after. I love TTV for a few drinks with the girls or dinner with friends, everyone that we have taken here has said they really enjoyed it. It's cosy and the wine list is fabulous.

This location seems to be a bit of a tricky one with restaurants as the previous one here flopped big time. So we went last night and didn’t have high hopes. Unfortunately it was as suspected, over priced and very empty albeit was a Wednesday night but it was worth a look and sorry but no need to go back. The food is pricey and the wine list seemed to have a lot on it but lacked substance. They are trying hard but I could think of better places to go for that type of money.

    Response from Management:
If Sydney restaurants/bars did not open in previously left or failed sites we wouldn't have maybe venues. So to have your mind decided on TTV being a failure because of other poor operators is unfair. With starters starting at $9 and mains starting at $20 (with a glass of vino) I am interested to hear the price point you were looking for.

I'm not sure what to stay about a list with no substance, do you mean no Sauv Blanc or Barossa Shiraz? If so sorry but wrong venue, I'll happily keep pouring Spanish Albarinos or Slovenian Pinot Gris or Italian Lagrein. I'll also keep pouring them at half the margins of the other big venues in Sydney, considering I have run many of those wine lists I can guarantee my margins are better.

Went here on a Friday evening with some friends. Surprisingly it wasn't that crowded at 6 pm. Perhaps, people haven't discovered their new location yet? A couple of people in our group had really liked this place at its Darlinghurst location, so wanted to try the new one.

The ambience was okay, although it seemed a bit more cafe than wine bar. The waiter was friendly and attentive, but not overly so. The wine selection was quite good, with some international wines. I really liked that you could order the wine in different size glasses as well as a bottle. The food was really delicious. We especially liked the crispy fried cuttlefish, beef cheeks, and homemade gnocchi. Will have to come back another time to try more wine and some of the other food dishes.
