Tigerbakers is cool the food is simple but good, the atmosphere the best in Darlinghurst. It's been there forever and is always full that says more than I can say.

This place is quite trendy and has a good vibe. The cafe gets quit busy but still the staff can handle it well. The negative sides are the price of the food and the overall taste. Most of the staff is quite bland and nothing special at all. One of the reviews before me commented on the burger and I can only agree sub-par.

The BBQ lamp sandwich I ordered was not warm. The most absurd thing is that I was charged $2 for a cup of hot water with lemon. I asked why it was charged since I had never heard any restaurant/bar would charge hot water and I dine out all the time. The answer: "We had to slice the lemon and make hot water for you. So it is a service." That's most ridiculous excuse I've ever heard!

I personally favour the seating out on the street. But I do like how the place is divided into little nooks to suit your mood. Some of the decorations could be too "gypsy" for some, but it works. The place is cool! Coffee is alright, I've just never been a fan of Grinder's. Staff were friendly, pretty girl.
Killer ricotta pancakes. Goddam, those were good! And so fluffy.

I have been here before but now it has had a revamp and is a trendy European type fully licensed Cafe/Bar I thought I 'd check it out again. Saturday morning went in early and ordered the eggs benedict, a skinny flat white and an OJ from an Italian waitress that looked like a film star. The ambience in the place was off the wall, with an electic mix of people typical of Darlinghurst, an interesting Jack Johnson soundtrack and interior design which I would call bohemian. The coffee arrived first, this was grinders made to perfection. The food arrived within a few minutes and tasted as good as it looked. The place started to fill up quickly around 10am and I took my leave but as Arnold Schwarzenegger would say "I'll be back".

I have read some reviews on this site and criticising the service at tigerbakers; my experience was the exact opposite! The staff were excellent in spite of some arrogant customers on the next table requesting major changes to the menu inspite being told as the cafe was packed this was impossible. Tigerbaker's is the best and busiest on Victoria Street in the Cross excepting the boring canteen like Tropicana across the road. The food was excellent and the atmosphere laid back and friendly.

I ordered the Tiger Burger with Chips. The patty and the bacon in the burger tasted like frozen meat right out of the freezer. The Chips were soggy and looked unappetizing. When I bought it to the waiter's attention, he just brushed me off with saying that the chips are supposed to be that way. Well, I have traveled the world and have never come across soggy chips in any restaurant. The attitude of the wait staff was really poor and not helpful. I will never go back again.

Great place to have breakfast and a good coffee. The specials are always good and not overpriced.

Great. I love having my breakfast here. The staff are friendly and accommodating and say hi to you when you pass them on the street outside work hours. Big Breakfast is good value, tasty sausages, no attitude and the living room vibe makes it easy to chill. Overall, great place and my favourite darlo joint for breakfast.

Perfect to go star spotting while having a good feed, while I was there, Charlotte Dawson and Jennifer Hawkins came in. Staff friendly and were knowledgeable about the food. Check out the specials board.I found the food good value. The music was great.
