My wife and I on a rare date-night tried this place for the first time after driving past it for years. I am now disappointed that we left it so long. We had the banquet for 2 and were very pleased with both the quality and quantity (too much actually). Service was excellent and byo refreshing as we had a nice bottle. Will be back to this little gem in the future.

A big let down. One of the bad indian restaurants I have been to. Ordered Lamb Briyani and Chicken Korma, some of the common dishes where you can't go wrong.
Guess what, bad bad bad. Restaurant looks good but if the food was half good as the restaurant, then I would have been happy.

This is my absolute favourite restaurant. Me and fiance go here about once every 3 weeks and have been for the past year and a half. I feel bad that is has taken me this long to comment, I am also a little scared that if people find out how good it is we won't always be able to get a table, but I feel I need to share just how good they are.
The ambience is beautiful. As soon as you walk in the aromas just hit you, and it is so warm and beautiful and I would even say romantic inside. I am a real sucker for ambience and this place hits the spot. The service has -Always- been fantastic. The staff are always helpful and very polite. They go out of their way to make our whole experience a great one, and it is always greatly appreciated.
The food is absolutely fantastic. Recently there was a leftover butter chicken at my house, I didn't know where it was from, I said, not only is this the best butter chicken I've ever had, it's the best curry I've ever had full stop. I later found out it was from this place, I should have known!
Every single dish I've ever had I have loved, espeically the prawn dishes, and the tandoori chicken, it is to die for! The mixed entree is beyond good, every item is tasty and delicious and always perfectly cooked. My fiance and I dine out once to twice a week and we are Very picky, especially about service and ambience and this is by far our favourite restaurant. I highly, highly recommend them.

I have been to curry house more than 50 times I can say. So I have got a pretty good idea of their menu. If someone has rated this restaurant less on taste, they may not know real indian food. Indian food is not about oil floating on top of everything, or even overload of mismatched spices. Its about getting just the right blend of spices to produce a particular flavour.
In toher restaurants, most curries taste the same because they use basically the same masala for everything. Here in curry house, everything has a distinct flavour, which is the actual flavous of that dish. Malai koftas are superb here, with just the right amount of sweetness coming from the cashews. I have had horrible malai koftas in many other restaurants, where they put (believe it or not) sugar in it to make it sweet and then load spices in the curry to cut the sweetness. You end up getting a horribly confusing sweet n spicy curry.
Even the dal makhani here is yummy, you can tell it has been cooked for ages to get to that consistency and flavour.
Paalak paneer is the highlight of the menu for me, thats the definition of how to make indian spinach. I always ask for a lemon wedge to go with it and I love it then! It may look less quantity but mind you, fills you up quite fast!
Also don't miss out on the paneer kulcha. They are so soft it'll break your heart to tear them off with your fingers and they have that melt in your mouth feel! yummm!
In terms of service, we go there every week and owners already know our standard order so they don't even ask us. The staff is so polite and humble and the service is super quick (compared to other restaurants). On those busy rainy days, they more than make up for late service by offering free complimentary items or sometimes just sincere apologies.
But then, the ambience is so cosy and comforting, we don't really mind the delay and sip away the wait time happily. In terms of value, me and my partner never order entree or desserts due to our health regimes. So we eat under $35 mostly 2 curries and naans.
The curry house guys nail the flavour of every indian dish they have on their menu and thats a big one from me because I don't like most of the other 100 restaurants I have eaten in Sydney.

Visited this restaurant in Sept 09 with my family. Tandoori lamb chops was great, butter chicken great, Tandoori chicken okay, starters good, everything else good (Would not recommend the Vindaloo prawns because the tomato in it was far too overpowering).
Service was good, decor good and clean. Prices were good. Staff definitely trying hard to please and maintain standards. I am Indian, so I am particular and fairly critical, but overall, I would recommend this restaurant and will visit again.

I had some excellent takeaway from this place and its outstanding! I had the Tandoori lamb and Saag Paneer and a couple other dishes. All great, hard to find, hard to beat. For takeaway I think its expensive, it is, however, worth it.
