The food at the Third Rock is reasonably priced, good quality and comes in decent portions. The Lamb shank special was very impressive and great value for money. One thing the cafe can improve on is the Lemon, Lime and Bitters.
Overall, it is a very good cafe and better than the other one across the road. I heard the coffees are very good there as well.
They were very accommodating. When I called up to book I told them I would be bringing a pram and they actually moved the table out a bit so the pram could fit next to the wall!

Very disappointing. Looked it up on this website and it had good reviews. It felt like we were back in 1990... the food was very average, the service also disappointing. The bread in garlic bread and bruschetta was barely toasted, the tiramisu tasted like air. I definitely would not recommend it, there are heaps better places to eat around that area.

2011 After a couple of years we returned to our fave little cafe and had a great dinner with a large group. Still some of the best desserts around.
2005 Great casual restaurant with good food and yummy desserts.

I went here with a friend after the movies, wow, the food was wonderful, the service was prompt and very friendly, even the house wine (only one by the glass) was tasty. Will definitely be going back.

I have been a regular customer of Third Rock's for a number of years. Never in this time have I found an establishment that makes a better creamy chicken and mushroom risotto or chicken pine nut pasta. Both are my favorite dishes, great portion sizes, value for money and mind blowingly tasty and fresh.
The service is fantastic, all staff are friendly, polite and attentive. They put up with a lot of rude customers with chips on their shoulders and I have personally witnessed them handling it fantastically.
Anyone without great things to say about this place are trying a little hard to criticise as I or anyone I have ever known have never had any issues whatsoever. They also have a fantastic selection of cakes!

What can I say - very average! partner and I went here on easter sunday for dinner, we ordered the bruschetta, smoked salmon pasta and I ordered the chicken, avocado carbonara pasta dish.
The bruschetta was very average, definitely needed some garlic, something was missing in flavour to what I'm used to in bruschetta, however, the serving was a good size.
My pasta was terrible, first the waitress stuffed up my order when I asked for a creamy dish she brings out a tomato based chicken dish, when I asked if I can return it and get the creamy dish, it was like the kitchen staff was angry that I returned it and made a mess of the dish that finally came out, it had hardly no chicken (and it was that dry sandwich shop chicken they used in it too) or avocado in it, was supposed to have pinenuts in it too. I defintely didn't see a pine nut in there! Tasted super bland, would not order again.
However, I tried my partners salmon dish and it was super delicious, some have all the luck! Overall for the serving the value is good, but consistency seems to be an issue here, I would come again but be more wary of what I order next time, definitely not the chicken dish!

This is the second time we have dined here (as a girls lunch/catch up place) and I am still impressed. I don't know why I don't go there more often!!
The portions are perfect for lunch and very reasonably priced, with a combination of Asian and Mediterranean influences.
I took my 6 week old son with me, and it was quite easy to maneuver the pram around the tables and the staff were quite welcoming.
There were x'mas decorations and a tree - we all thought that was nice and not over done. More restaurants should get festive, I believe.

My friend, and I went to 3rd Rock for dinner 2 weeks ago. We ordered a greek salad prawn pasta dish, a white sauce pasta which was tasted ok! and nutella crepes. We found that we were still hungry as the dishes were placed in huge bowls with only a small amount on them! The crepes had a small amount of icecream on it and the nutella was spread lightly on the crepes, huh?
Well I guess you pay for what you get. There was no customer service, they only took our order and that was it! There was a lady sitting down folding napkins while the others were at the bar just watching and waiting for someone to call them. No definitely won't be there again!

My go-to spot on the strip if I want a restaurant that's a reliable, safe choice. Like others have said, the food isn't amazing but it's still great for it's price range. Good if you're with a group of friends and no one can decide exactly where they want to eat because 3rd Rock has a bit of everything on the menu.
Serving sizes are very generous. I haven't once yet been able to fit a dessert in.
Service is great, recently I've been served by some lovely girls. Not a single complaint about them or wait times. I think I usually have the spaghetti gambo, it's delicious.
