Look, Court house is the place to go after about 3am when sleep is the last thing on your mind. Everyone has the same attitude and everyone is on the same wave length. Have had many a good morning spent here and upstairs - it's what you make of it with those your with.
Used to start a lot of evenings out here in my uni days ... but am over the dingy vibe and the I'm-not-really-a-barperson, I'm-a- poet, piercer, independent film maker, proctologist vibe.
Can't stand the place. There was a time I was a regular there. Not anymore. I went back recently for a late night drink on my own, ten years since my days of being a Judgement Bar regular. Nothing had changed.
Judgement Bar, which is part of the Courthouse Hotel on the intersection of Oxford, Bourke and Flinders streets (ie, it's at Taylor Square), is now the only hotel in Sydney that I absolutely refuse to go to. The clientele are pretentious or suburban wannabe's trying to get a life in hip inner Sydney. I hope some of them read this review to discover just what I think of them. I've been abused once too often in this place.
After ten years it's sad to see that absolutely nothing has changed here and that some people still think this is a hip place to drink. God awful. Try one of the many other bars in the area before visiting this place. Try Kinselas on the next corner.
