The food took a while to come but it was expected, we went on a friday but quality does take time. The pizzas are amazing and there are 26 different types to chose from. The pastas were exotic and so was the apple calzone dessert.
A large group going to this restaurant is probably not the best idea. Waited 1.5 hours for the first of our pastas to arrive, and then they slowly brought out 10 pizzas over the next 25 minutes. The spaghetti dishes were plain, and the lamb pizzas are best avoided too. The staff tried hard to be nice though...
E lounge is a frequent place of visit for me and my friends, the food is fantastic, the atmosphere is casual, it's great value and easy to get to. The service is a bit slow, so don't go if you're in a rush, but if you grab a bottle of wine from the bottle shop next door and order the dips and bread (highly reccomended) as a starter, it is a great place to sit back and let the conversation flow.
I have been to the E Lounge a number of times. The wait staff are very personable but the service really is extremely slow and the decor is a bit dingy. However I'll keep going back because the food is really good and excellent value.
The pizza and calzone are better than average and there are lots of vegetarian and vegan options for those that way inclined. But the reason I keep coming back is the fusilli, which I and people I have taken here have found to be amazing. The salads are also excellent and along with most meals here come in substantial portions. Don't come here expecting a dining 'experience' - but the food is well worth it.
Terrible experience! I've eaten here before and it's been ok. However, I decided to take some guests here and it was horrible. We ordered the Biancho Lamb Pizza which literally only had 3 shreddings of lamb on it, total rip-off. The chicken fusilli had way too much salt. The prawn risotto was very bland and not enough salt. I've ordered this pasta and risotto dish before and it has been fine. Staff didn't seem to care about service. I'm going to think twice about going back there now.
The food was good, especially the pizzas but it took so long to get to us we almost walked out. Sorry, anything over half an hour is too long, 1 hour is unacceptable.
Best pizza's in Sydney, service was great, staff were friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed the simplicity of the ambience, it has a wonderful Boho feel about it. All food is outstanding, E-lounge would easily rival any other restuarant in Glebe. You must dine here!
Outstanding wood-fired pizzas, pastas and breads. The atmosphere is a bit dated, and lacks the "going out to dinner feel" but the music is chill and easy listening. Service is ok, some local kids trying to hold down an easy job, again this is not a "let's celebrate our anniversary" type of place. What shines is the food, the pizza, pasta, bread, and calzones are easily in the top 97th percentile for the city. With the superior food, this restaurant could easily tap in to the fine dining market if they would only give the place a face lift. If it's no nonsense, good food you want look no further then E Lounge. They even deliver!
Great food and really nice, chilled out atmosphere. As someone who can't eat wheat, the gluten free choices were unbelievable and tasted just like normal pizza. Can't wait to go back and try the pasta! Relatively good value too. Highly recommended!
Great pizzas. We had the lemon chicken and meat lovers ones and they were both delicious. Really crispy bases and lot of toppings. Also tried the pesto rigatoni which was really creamy and nice. Lots of different juices to try. Recommended.
