This is an amazing place to have lunch or dinner and if you're an art lover like myself, you will enjoy the paintings and shows they have here. I've had lunch here with a few friends of mine and have never been disappointed. I would go back there again.
The Attic bar above the restaurant is gorgeous and on a Thursday night, far less busy than that of the ground floor area. The wait staff were friendly and fairly prompt. We had an entree of seafood gnocchi which was fantastic and seafood mains also. The portion sizes were a bit on the slim side, particularly when compared to the entree. All in all, the food was fabulous, the service good and well worth returning to for both the venue and food.
Love the place, we work close by and have been regulars for over 5 years. Staff are friendly and knowledgable. Service is good, prices are what you expect in the City. A great old heritage building that has been converted into cool bars and a restaurant. The restaurant is great, keep an eye out for the head waiter Mario, he is a credit to the hospitality industry.
Great inner city art deco bar & food. Art work on walls is inspirational. Very friendly and helpful staff. Superb pie, probably the best in Sydney. Salads are generous and fresh. Good for "eye candy".
I like level 3 at the art house. Its got some nice lounges. Loud at times but overall nice place to grab a drink. Bar staff ok. $10 cocktails mon-thursday good value for the city scene.
Went on a friday night, I really enjoyed this restaurant. The set up of this restaurant is classy, the food is delicious, and I was definitely impressed. However, for the amount that you are paying for the food I would expect it to be! Good for partners and small to medium groups. Would definitely return.
A regular venue for after-work drinks. Arthouse has a great atmosphere. Would recommend not ordering evening food from the bar. Two of my colleagues ordered salt and pepper squid, one serving came out and we were told that it was two servings on the one plate. It was not worth $24 and quality was below average. I had the dumplings which were not great. Great place for a drink but eat beforehand somewhere else.
I went here on Friday night with some friends. The bar and dome area were quite busy, but the restaurant was easy to get into. I thought the soft centered pudding was absolutely stunning! I wish I could make pudding like that :oP
A note to anyone who asks for a cocktail not on the list, make sure you tell them what is in the drink. I got a Toblerone that was unlike any I've had before, not sweet or chocolaty. It is a little pricey, especially the cocktails.
Met a friend here for a quick catch-up lunch. As she was a smoker, we were in the smoking bar on the ground floor, but as the room was quite spacious, the smoke wasn't a problem.
We both had the pumpkin ravioli with sage butter which came with a good sprinkling of baby rocket - it was divine. Worth the $14. We both ordered a glass of wine and all up were looking at $20 a head.
Service was quick and friendly - perfect for the limited time we had. Will be making this a regular city meeting spot.
