This place was oozing elegance, the small un-acclaimed entrance made you want to be part of it even more. I love the look and feel about this place; the delicateness minimalistic of the East meets the man-ly rich sandstone of the old West, worked well in a strange way.

Like the previous reviewer, we came here on a Groupon offer. 15 courses from its "The Whole Shebang" for a fraction of the full price.

The ambience is nice, although felt a bit crowded as we have 10 guests to a room, with one chef. So, may not be a great venue if you want a private dinner.
No food throwing but still great to watch the chef cook. It's an entertainment by itself.

With 15 different items to eat, we were really full by the end of the course. We can't find any fault with the food, it's freshly cook, well prepared and organised. Had we not got the Groupon offer, we would probably find the full price to be on the very high side. Hence, we gave a 10 for value based on the offer price we got, not the full price.

We came here with the Groupon offer which allowed us to have 'The Whole Shebang' 15 course meal including Lobster and Wagyu beef worth $318 pp for a discounted price.

Initially, they got our booking wrong. We booked at 7.30pm but they insisted we booked for 8. Although the waiter seemed reluctant, he still showed us to our table at least. But other than that, the service was very good. Waitresses are always there to take away your dirty plates and they also place the cooked food in front of you while explaining it.

The food was amazing. Since it was a 15 course meal, we expected portion sizes to be tiny. But they were not. We were delightfully surprised that the portions were so generous - a whole lobster to each person! Amongst a hefty serving of Alaskan crab claws, Wagyu beef rolls and Garlic fried rice, the food impressed us indeed.

I have to say for such a classy restaurant, the bathrooms were quite dirty and unpleasant... but that is not what people are here for!

Overall, it was a great experience. I don't understand why people give it such bad reviews. Maybe if we didn't have the offer, we would also be complaining about the price. But for what we paid, we got every penny's worth.

Firstly going to Teppanyaki, you go for the entertainment and experience, you don't go to feel that your stomach is going to burst out of your pants. It is not a buffet. For myself it felt a little hungry afterwards.

In terms of experience, its more intimate than your usual teppanyaki place, with your chef explaining what he's cooking and a maximum of 8 people at your table. There was some difficulty understanding the chefs accent but that was a minor issue. Wait staff was almost always there and they take your food usually and place it in front of you.

Also this is easily the most expensive teppanyaki place I've been too and what you pay for, you expect more food. There is no throwing rice into your plate here though but very well presented food. Maybe its better food isn't thrown on you anyway, most likely you'll be going out afterwards and you don't need stains on your shirt.

Ambience wise its a little townhouse where when you look in, you feel a little out of place because its looks so posh, a posh teppanyaki place with nice furniture but when you go into your seats it looks and feels ordinary and you are in a small room where space is used efficiently.

Is it value for money? Thats difficult to say but its definitely expensive. At least to me the quality of the food was fresh. For me, its a once off experience but I did enjoy it.

We came here for a birthday dinner and really enjoyed our meal. We were concerned at first that we'd leave still half full but amazingly felt full when we left. It is pricey but in my opinion it is worth it. The chefs are very professional and skilful, it is very enjoyable watching them cook, and they produce delicious dishes. It is also a great place for having dinner with people whom you may not know well, the novelty of it all creates conversation.

My favourite dishes are definitely the Flaming No1 Special, the hot mushroom salad is delicious, and the Wagyu roll mouth watering. Definitely be back!

I was amazed this is one of so called famous Kobi Jones restaurant. The dish was absolutely not worth the value, and the service was really poor for its price tags. I wonder how they retain their customers?

Absolutely disappointing. I could get better, fresher foods and cook better on teppan than them. Ordinary selection of courses even for a flagship course. Never again. Doesn't even seem to be professional teppan chef.

No value for money here. A definite tourist venue serving up some well prepared meals and some very ordinary ones. The venue is fine for groups especially in one of their small function rooms while the service is adequate without being friendly.

I’ve always want to experience Teppanyaki so when there is a special deal on Spreets.com.au, I bought it without second thought, believing it was too good to miss. $69 for eight courses which usually worth $140, wow sound like such a good deal. It was my first time experience Teppanyaki and it turned out wasn't as good as I anticipated.

When we arrived there is no one at the reception to greet us, we have to wait for a while and decided to call them so someone will come out to pick up the phone. After we seated, we have to wait for maybe 10-15 minutes for someone to bring out the appetizer, which is too tiny and I was very hungry. Then we have to wait again for a while until other people arrived to fill up the table.
Even tho I enjoyed watching the Chef cooking in front of me, and the food was good, however, I don’t find anything special about the food that worth paying $140.

The quantity is too small for prices. Chef’s number one special was good, really good and the Wagyu was tender and juicy even tho I had mine cook very well done and the flavour was perfect. The Alaskan crab was alright, nothing special, they need to add more flavour tho. Was extremely disappointed with the fried rice, no flavour at all, only oil, garlic their sauce and nothing else. I think I can make better than that. Veggie was a ripped off, only a few pieces of Capsicum and Zucchini and bean sprouts and they counted as a dish OMG. Dessert is too small.

Overall everything was alright. However, I still think it's a ripped off if we have to pay $140pp for these tiny eight courses. Definitely not worth the value. Will definitely not coming back for it even if the deal is on again and won’t recommend to anyone. One time experience is good enough!

We found the restaurant to be poor value. We used a spreets coupon for $69 offering ostensibly $139 of value and 8 courses. Each course was miniscule. Perhaps, a mouthful or two. The Cook was just competent but in no way impressive with no emotion or showmanship or great skill.

The room was drafty and the atmosphere not memorable. We paid about $60 for a house wine which was just Ok. We ended up going to a local pizza shop after the restaurant to fill up. (We are senior in age and not big eaters). We had high expectations for a great night out enjoying Wagyu beef and Alaskan king crab. Alas we had a memorable night and will not forget the low standard we experienced. We will never return and will not recommend the restaurant.
