Very popular with the suits down this end of town. Service is very good, the wine waiter knows his stuff and has never steered me wrong on the wine. Food is solid, simply done, probably better than expected. The place is best for casual business lunches, nothing too heavy as it is noisy and tables are close together so nothing too private to be discussed.

The Republic is great I had a party there and it was awesome, everyone there is great. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a function. Security were tough but fair and I respect that.

What a let down! I had my 21st there and it was a disaster! I was told my party could finish late - like after 2am at least and we were kicked out by 1am. The meat served was raw and I still had to pay for it and the bouncers were really rude. Never again! People if you're thinking of having a function there - don't! Only good thing was the bartenders - really nice people!

A good dining-club type atmosphere but truly exuding arrogance that has come from a successful start. My tip is that it will go downhill as patrons tire of the over-casual approach of the Maitre D' and his staff. Not enough ownership was taken of two poor meals and no action was taken despite two negative comments to the wait staff. The Maitre D' didn't even look up from his book as he bad us Good Day on leaving (that, along with "hello mate" on entering just about did it for me). If I want to be treated as a mate, I'll eat at a mate's house!

Went there last night, was served by the most friendliest bartender, I won't say his name, but he's the white guy with the du-rag... Best drinks and service, music was fantastic!!

Drinks - A bit pricy but boy are the awesome. The manager made us the best shots in the universe. Not many bars have such good service. Decor is a bit cold, but atmosphere is cool. Didn't think much of the sports bar...
