What I actually enjoyed most from Meat & Wine Co was the bruschetta and creme brulee. Those were actually better than any other I've tasted but the steaks were only so-so. We did have a really friendly and attentive waitress though so my overall impression wasn't too bad.

Completely overpriced and boring! The food was dry and bland and the service terrible waiter wasn't helpful at all, he brought us the wrong entree then took it away, wouldn't recommend it, I make bigger and juicier steaks at home!

Food was great but the service disappointing. It took them 45 minutes to bring the check to us and for us to leave. The food served within time but to order it took them 45 minutes to get it. Also we ordered more wine but never got it until they were deserving, the waiter asked if we got it and apologised. I said to him it was too late but they still added the extra wine to the bill....lol so funny.

We love going to this restaurant, we make a monthly visit to Meat & Wine Co. and always order the ribs platter! Each platter comes out with beef, pork and lamb ribs and it's great that they all have a different flavour sauce to them! (the lamb is my fav!) make sure to order a side of greens and chips with aoili! It's called meat and wine people, make it count and order meat!

The staff are really friendly there, we always seem to get the same waitress and always answers my boyfriends random questions like can he get a personalized steak knife! Try it out! You won't be disappointed!

Meat and wine has been a favorite of my family and friends for a long while. The best experience I had was an anniversary dinner with my wife where we asked for a view on the second level. Unfortunately they were not open on that floor due to low volume yet they seated us upstairs on our own with the view of darling harbor all to our own and staff waited on us like it was our private restaurant. Now that's service and we will forever return to this fine establishment.

I visited M&W on Saturday night with a group of 6. Upshot - disappointing. First thing to point out, this is not a fine dining restaurant, though the prices may lead you to believe it is. The steaks were not at all reflective of the price. The quality of the meat approximated something you'd get on a Styrofoam tray from Coles/Woolies. The preparation was... meh.

My husbands medium rare $50 steak was dry and distinctly average. When ordering the steak beware, sauces are an extra $3-4, even though the waitstaff will ask you "...and what sauce would you like with your steak" (which understandably lead the table behind us to believe sauce was included with the steaks). One of our group ordered the Pan Fried Giant Prawns for her main. She got 4 standard king prawns, so the dish worked out at $10 per prawn.

Sure the ambience of Darling Harbour is lovely, and our waitress was nice, but I think this is another establishment that bases its success on the location and the magic of an ever-changing passing trade.

Amazing restaurant with perfect food, extensive drinks' list and the best view you could ask for in Darling Harbour. The steaks are almost as good as the best steak we have had in New York, but the dessert is the highlight of every visit there. It is one of our favourite restaurants in Sydney.

Well established company with quite possibly the best Steak I have had! Cooked to perfection! Our hostess was brilliant and entertaining and respectful of time and space. We really enjoyed it here and didn't mind the price tag given that the food was so amazing.

Beautiful location and huge selection of drinks, including pink moscato and pear cider. Our favourite dish was surprisingly not meat, but the Portuguese prawn entree. Don't bother with their pasta of the day, it was so bland and be prepared to fork out a premium for the steaks.
