I have been to E-Lounge numerous times and each time the pizza seems to get smaller and the lamb pizza has no more than a strip of meat on it. Service was poor had to wait around for an hour to eat and it felt like having a pizza in someones backyard with all the commotion going on and the small eating floor space. Not very accommodating and the main guy there seemed more interested in talking to his friends outside smoking then his customers. All up won't bother probably go to dominos for some gourmet pizza.
Only tried the Pizza's here and did sample my friends pizza's too. I have to say that I picked the best one, lamb with potato on it, it was good but after eating half of it, the taste just became the same (as you expect) but I got bored of it. My friends pizza's were average at best.
The crust is thin based and for the prices, as far as I remember for medium roughly $16 and large for $20, its not good value, to me they weren't that big!
Service, a little slow, my friend had to ask them to wipe the table and the downstairs area is very small so the waitress should be more attentive.
Ambience, well the downstairs area is tiny and I did not see the upstairs area. Minimal decorations and its a small place. Overall disappointing but my friends like the pizza's here.
Great wood fired pizzas, good range of modern toppings on a thin crispy/chewy base. A good basic week night dinner. Service friendly, the seating area is a bit too warm, probably because of the close proximity to the ovens.
I was very unhappy after dining at E Longe. The first problem started when I ordered tea. I asked for peppermint tea. The waitress told me that she needed to find out if there was any peppermint tea left. 15 minutes later a teapot of hot water arrived with some green herbs floating in it. Obviously they had run out of peppermint tea and were trying to be creative. I did not appreciate it.
Second problem was the food order. I ordered a mixed leaf salad. I was served a rocket salad, which is problematic as my partner (who was dining with me) really dislikes rocket. I also ordered a vegetarian pizza and was served a pizza with meat, which I could not eat. The waitress completely got the order wrong and did not apologise.
When the pizza/calzone I wanted finally arrived, after more than 45 minutes, it was very very average. It contained way too much pumpkin, which still had the skin left on, and not all of the cheese was properly melted. And the pizza bread was extremely doughy. A very bad meal. I will never be back.
Have been here many times and most of the time the food has been great. Good service and the staff work hard. Love the pizzas and the pasta is good too.
Went there last week, very average food and service. We ordered a large chicken breast pizza and a neapolitan pasta, both of which lacked salt and taste. The service was pretty ordinary too. Overall, not worth the money they charge.
Have been here before and it was alright. Went with a large party last night and had all kinds of problems. The mains were served over a 1/2 period - 3 were still waiting for theirs when everyone else was ready for dessert. The staff made several mix up's with the orders and were quite hostile when we commented on it. Food was decent but the bad service means I won't be going back, there are other Italian places around that are just not as much of a headache.
The food took a while to come but it was expected, we went on a friday but quality does take time. The pizzas are amazing and there are 26 different types to chose from. The pastas were exotic and so was the apple calzone dessert.
