We got a Spreets voucher for $39 where we supposed to get two appetisers, a seafood platter, two mains, two drinks and a dessert to share with six month validity.
Firstly, we tried to make bookings with the restaurant and they always said that they were fully booked out. We tried making bookings at the beginning of the six months, when we first got the voucher and they said that they were booked out. When we tried making bookings closer to the end of the six months, they did not even answer their phone.
Since the voucher was going to expire really soon, we had no choice but to go to the restaurant without a booking to see that when we arrived there were many tables that were not being used throughout the whole night.
When the waitress realised that we had a voucher, she made a face and left us at the table. When she returned she looked at the voucher and said that since we didn't make a booking they cannot give us the seafood platter. She kept arguing with us and kept saying that we cannot get the platter.
Then we had to speak to the senior staff who also said exactly the same thing and had to point out to him several times that it was impossible to make a booking since they do not answer their phone. Then just said either we take the offer or go back to Spreets and request a refund.
Since we did not know whether Spreets will agree to a refund so close to the expiry, we felt that we had no option but to just be stuck with what the senior staff offered, which was a main meal instead of the platter.
The entrees were good but quite oily. We had the mixed entree and fish cakes, which was the only decent thing about the whole place. For mains we both had duck with plum sauce. The plum sauce tasted like syrup and was so sickly sweet that we could not finish it. When we tried to order the lychee drinks they said that they did not have them available and simultaneously eliminated several other drinks that were 'not available'.
For dessert there was no option given to us, except for one which they said is 'standard dessert'. We were given a bowl of vanilla icecream which tasted like the cheap brands that you can get from the supermarket. We will Never return to this place! Avoid at all costs. They have excuses for everything.

I too had a spreets voucher. Seafood platter - fish impressive. All food, I have had much better elsewhere. Doesn't deserve this rating. If you were going in there with no voucher let me assure you $26 for King Prawn Pad Thai (4 prawns) is not value for money nor is 1 piece of chicken on a skewer (7 for $10). Now let me get to the BYO - what a joke. You serve your own wine and don't give you an ice bucket (white wine) Hello and have the hide to charge $2.50 per person.
Staff - well they seem to have some nice ones but the girl with personality plus, Not that served us was unhelpful, uninspired and frankly should stay where she is because I would hate to be served by her again.

We came here with a voucher that was supposed to be great value seafood platter and entrees and desserts for 2, what a dishonest attempt! the entree was a small serving of tom yum soup with 3 prawns for 2 people (!) (and thai people would not call soup an entree) and the shared seafood platter that was supposed to include prawns didn't have any! and the dessert just plain vanilla ice cream with choc topping.
Certainly was not worth the face value of the voucher. We went all the way to Bondi beach to be disappointed. No wonder there were few diners there in a Sat night if this is the value they want to invest in their customers.

Came here with voucher. Apart from the deep fried fish which is very tasty, the other seafood platter is very plain and a bit very. The entree tom yum shop is good and a big portion, so is the drink although not much choice avaialble.
On the other hand, very disappointed with the dessert which is only 2 scoops of plain vanilla ice-cream with a bit of chocolate sauce, certainly the last kind of dessert I can think of to be served in a Thai restaurant?? Waitresses are nice and gentle but doesn't seem to know they need to serve. On the whole, whilst not bad, but have tried better Thai so will stick with others instead.

I live around the corner from the establishment and checked out the menu several times as I Love thai food. With so many different eateries, including Thai ones around, you can imagine my excitement when I saw what looked to be a great deal on Spreets website. Obviously a steal of a deal, I thought that you were using the deals as a way to get customers in with the hopes of building a customer base. Was I wrong.
It took us about a month to get a booking which was a pain but it is what it is. When we finally were able to get in last Monday we were rather excited. We walked in and it was a bit quiet but we caught glimpse of a seafood platter which looked very yummy. We were seated in a back corner which was fine. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there.
Time: It took 20 minutes for you to even notice we didn’t get our order taken. Drinks took another twenty minutes and our appetiser about twenty minutes after that. All the time, we see more and more food go out to other tables. 20 minutes later our main came out. 15 after the seafood platter. Dessert came quite quickly heh.
Food: The appetisers were great. Warm and tasty. But all other food was not. Our “main” came out 20 minutes after that and it was warm at best. The waiter who was great and took our order, said he’d put in a bowl of rice since we didn’t order a noodle dish as the main. We Never got the rice, even after speaking to the waitress. She said that you were busy and that it would come.
Understandable...but we never got it. We waited with hope before starting to eat our pork main hoping that the rice would come out but it didn’t. About 10-15 minutes After that our seafood platter came. It must have been forgotten about as it was cold when we received it. When fried food comes cold…all you taste is the oil, which means not good. We had run out of water and drinks but never were we asked or attended to for a top up.
Dessert: Dessert was great. Unfortunately, the waitress didn’t actually take our dinner dishes away so we shared our ice cream over dirty plates of seafood bones and remnants. Not really ideal.
The End: As no one checked in, we just walked out with your waitresses appearing to avoid eye contact with us, which just makes things awkward.
Service: Very bad service especially since the two waitresses gave us eye contact several times while we sat looking annoyed. The exception is the male waiter who took our order, he was great and apologetic at the time. It was unfortunate he didn’t serve us the whole time. Even the table next to us were annoyed at the service, slouching in their seats as it took you forever to get to them. Just down rude.
Overall: Bad service. Cold food. Poor ability to get reservations. Overall a very bad experience.

First time been to the restaurant with the Living Social vouchers. Wait for 1 hour before you getting serve. The waitress (a girl in early 20s) is so rude.
They are not honest with what they offer in the vouchers entree spring roll and fish cake. Dessert is a scoop of ice cream?
I have ask for proper dessert the senior staff is rude just want to kick us out of the restaurant and said nothing left for dessert. Bad experience never recommend anyone to dine in this restaurant and they don't treat you well.

Have dined here before but this time we had a voucher. From my experience with vouchers you get smaller servings but not at this outlet. We had the choice of any dish on the menu which is very rare for diners having a voucher.
The food is superb and the servings large and beautifully presented. Seats with backs on them would be good for those of us with back problems. Most uncomfortable with no back on the seat. The entree was almost enough for three people. The chefs' really take pride in their cooking and presentation. We will definitely be back but please better seats as it adds to the enjoyment of the food.

I had purchased a voucher for this restaurant. I found the food to be good, but felt like I was an inconvenience to the staff because I had a voucher. I am not sure why you would bother to do a voucher deal if you are going to treat new customers like that.
It is a shame because it is a good restaurant and I am sure if you dined without the voucher it would be a far better experience. Come on owners.... remember the voucher bring new customers to your restaurant, treat them well and they will come back and pay full price, isn' that the goal?

I went there with one of those daily deal vouchers and the food was great, the staff were very friendly and the food came out quickly. The entrees were small but very tasty, the seafood platter was incredible, the way the plate was decorated and the taste of the food left me very happy, the drinks we had were so delicious and the dessert was the best I've ever had. Great little restaurant that I will definitely be telling everyone to try.

I brought on of those daily deals voucher for this restaurant. I purchase many of these online, but never have I experienced such amazing value! The voucher advertised entrees, a seafood platter, drinks and dessert.
The entree was a huge bowl of the most delicious Tom Yum soup I have ever tasted with super fresh prawns. The seafood platter was so large, it came on two separate plates! One plate featured a whole fish which had been cooked in a Choo Chee curry sauce - delicious! The other plate had almost everything you can imagine from the sea including tantalising soft shell crab, prawns, pan fried scallops, fresh as anything calamari + more. We couldn't finish it all and were shocked when they brought out a delicious sticky rice with ice-cream for dessert.
Don't go past the Lychee drink with crushed ice. The most amazing thing I have ever tasted and I don't even like lychees!
Good work to the team here, service and entire experience was amazing!
