Came here a few times because my friend loves it but never again. Every single time I've been there has always been something wrong. Cutlery not clean, table not wiped down and staff forgetting dishes to name a few. The more serious problems I've had with them is twice we've found insects, slugs or snails in the vegetables (Obviously they don't bother to wash it properly) and they overcharge you! When questioned they act like it was an accident but it happens all the time!
If you do go here check your table, eating utensils, vegetables for bugs and the bill.
My favourite dish here is the "Com Tom Rhim" (not sure how to spell it), basically it is a prawn dish with a delicious reddish sauce topped with scrambled eggs, my only complaint would be that everytime we go there, the tables smell like damp unwashed cloths...
Go for the excellent Pho, some of the best in Sydney. All seafood dishes are highly recommended. Especially the whole fish with chilli/garlic/coriander topping. The Hot Pots are glorious!! Make sure you double check your bill as we've been overcharged 3 separate times!! The service is lacking.
I know when you go to Vietnamese, the food to eat is pho, but I don't eat pho!!
Among the other restaurants on the same road, this seems the busiest with everyone eating pho.
Well I've had the spring rolls long but small in size, these pork skin rolls were terrible, its rice paper rolls with pork (but it tasted like chicken) and the whole thing was chewy. Pork with vermicilli was ok, and the rice noodles was average.
From what I ate, the food is average, maybe pho is the way to go here.
Everytime I go here, the service is really good and the food is excellent. I usually come in for com tam bi suon cha, and it is top notch. Fast service, very good value. My only disappointment would be the small portion of my meal, but that was made up for in the quality of it. Rates up there with the best com tam bi suon cha ive ever had!
I stop-by here on a regular basis (once per fortnight or so) for some great tasting beef noodle Pho soup. For only $8.00, its great value! Occasionally I try something else from the menu....and I dont have any complaints about that either. The restaurant has nice atmosphere and fast service (I try to avoid the busy times of the day because the premises are fairly small). I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
IF you want great tasting vietnamese food, this is by far the best place i've been to. Stays open till really late for a late night snack or even some take away. I go there at least once a week..Favourite dishes include the pho (noodle soup with your choice of meats), salt n pepper squid or sour fish soup hot pot, boyfriend normally goes for the broken rice dishes with fried prok chop (yum!) pricing is great and service is real quick. Very busy at times so it gets quite squishy to move around.
Good value for money, great tasting Vietnamese food, service isn't the best and the restaurant gets a bit squashy but if you want good Vietnamese food, this is the place to go.
