Not a restaurant I would particularly recommend to anyone. The first time my boyfriend and I went I found a big piece of hair in one the dishes that we ordered, when my boyfriend told a waitress, she didn't seem very bothered and just asked us if we wanted a fresh one.
We did end up going on one other occasion because our regular Thai restaurant was closed, being a Monday, it wasn't bad but it was nothing special. I don't think I'll be going again, a bit pricey considering the quality of food and service we received.
This is one of the worst thai restaurants on the north shore. I have only been once, and will never go back. Bland, virtually inedible food and bleak atmosphere. Do yourself a favour and give it a miss.
I had a banquet meal here with a group. We had a good variety of dishes, all quite well prepared. The service was OK but some of the staff didn't speak English that well. A bit pricey for what we got.
I love this restaurant because it is local, however, it needs some atmosphere. Dimmer lighting, a better paint job, and relaxing music. And the food needs to come slower. You feel too rushed.
We come to this restaurant often and I have to say that they always seem to please. In some dishes however, the chicken thigh fillets are a little tough but I have requested chicken breast a few items but found that chicken thigh fillets seem to suit the Thai style of the dishes better. As for seafood, I recommend the "prawn chu chi" which has the very big and full prawns unlike some other places. Massaman lamb has had a couple of changes throughout the years but has improved once again and is now back on my favourite list. As for rice, saffron rice is a unique change to plain jasmine rice. Ambiance: Atmosphere is lovely. A great place for a warm winter meal since there is air-con and heater through all seasons. Service: Fast food and very friendly staff. Beautiful Thai outifts. Value: Great food and service = good value for your money. Overall very pleasing.
Not our first visit to this restaurant but probably our last. Ordered red curry beef and chicken cashew with some curry puff entrees. Although the food came with out delay, the entree was forgotten altogether. They must have run out of beef, cause the large chunks were obviously cooked massaman style and flavour, chucked into the red curry souce - yuk! More dissapointment was to follow - the chicken was akin to gnawing on a Ben Elton paperback - dry but not nearly as humerous! We have enjoyed some decent meals here but this was a turn off...
Great food. Price has gone up lately. Service is not bad, just not in English. Overall, we have been there afew times and each time we have been satisifed with all aspects of the restaurant.
Thought I'd try this place for my takeaway this week rather than visit by usual favourite. I shouldn't have! It was the worst Thai meal I've ever had. I ordered chicken with cashew nuts and as it's my favourite dish, I've plenty of experiences to compare it with. The chicken was horrible thigh meat, not always cooked through, the vegetables soft and the rice mushy. I gave up after a few mouthfuls. Not good!
I've recently been here and despite the disparate ratings evidenced on eatability.com, I've got to say I found this place better in service, atmosphere and food. Yes, the masaman lamb was not exactly melt-in-the-mouth however, the lamb was very tasty and the service was professional and friendly.
