We ate here on New Year's Day (10% surcharge) before going to the movies. It was busy, but I couldn't believe how noisy it was, do not go here if you want to dine in peace! It was hard to attract the attention of the staff, but once we ordered the food came very quickly. I tried the stir-fried veggies and tofu with lime leaves and green peppercorns, and enjoyed the spicyness. I was unimpressed by the meanly-portioned bowl of steamed rice to serve three people.
Went here a few weeks ago before the movies, and have to say we weren't that impressed. Found the food was much heavier than other Thai places we go to, and didn't feel too good the next morning. Probably not gonna be back in a hurry!
Do not bother to order delivery from this place. We ordered 2 simple noodle dishes and it took them 1.5 hours to deliver it to an address that is a 3 minute drive from the restaurant. And it was on a Tuesday night, one that is supposed to be a quieter one.
We called the restaurant up to chase the order, and the first phone call they said the driver was 5 minutes away. Ten minutes later we called again and they said they would call the driver, find out where he is, and call us back. We did not recieve a call back. We called again and were told that they could not get in touch with the driver but he would call when he reached us. Ten minutes pass, still nothing. We call yet again and ask to speak to the manager who is conveniently not there. Another 10 minutes pass and we finally receive our food. No apology. No discount. Just to take it up with the manager.
Why bother offer a delivery service at all? And the food that finally came ... definitely not up to standard.
We used to always come here for a meal before the movies. The food is always good but it has gotten more and more expensive. The last time we went a group of 20 for a birthday and after the slow service we had, we paid and left. The restaurant was closing and we stood outside for 10 or 15 minutes talking. The staff came out and shoooshed us !! We were appalled as we were not that loud and we were on the street.
This place still provides great food and you can't go wrong if what's in the dish is your focus. The service is a little brusque but helpful - they made up a new table for us outside.
Consistently good quality of the dishes, and good variety too. Noisy and boisterous, it's built for your group outing on a Friday or Saturday night.
When this restaurant first opened a few years ago, it was my favourite Thai restaurant. As the years went by, the food got more expensive and the service slower. Therefore I do not go there on a regular basis anymore like I used to but I still love the food! The atmosphere is great with warm and tasteful decor but it is usually very noisy so it might not be a good place for a first date.
I always enjoy food here, service is attentive, sometimes messy orders caused by language barriers but I am easy. It can be noisy but who cares, at the end that is why we get out, to have fun and enjoy ourselves. Prices are not too affordable otherwise we could come more often.
I went to Thai Riffic for dinner with my partner 2 weeks ago. It's a great spot (patdon the pun) to have a quick dinner before going to the cinema. It is very similar to the Cronulla franchise - we had pad see iew, chicken cashew and spring rolls. The service is quick and I would definitely go back.
