I have lived in ashfield for the past 13 years and this was my regular eatery through visiting the place and ordering home delivery through menulog. Both have been great.

My favourite is the yellow chicken curry (I don't even like chicken but I love the consistency of this curry) the coconut curry sauce is divine, I eat the sauce with plain rice its that good. I also like the curry puffs and try to order it every time.

Once ordering through menulog, I was given spring rolls instead of curry puffs, spring rolls were not as good. In conclusion, I can say that is my favourite thai restaurant in Sydney. Better than home thai and chat thai, only for those two dishes though.

Amazing place! I get on the train from the city, call up and make my order at redfern and when I arrive at ashfield it's ready to be picked up from a smiling face.

Very quick, generous portions. Great if you want some fast, quality Thai. The green curry is especially good. Probably the best restaurant in Ashfield.

I would not go back to this place. The food smelled of foul chicken and expired egg. Pad thai Prawn had no vegies in there and the prawn had no flavour (4 prawns).

Someone here said No1 special chicken is awesome, what a load of nonsense. Must be their employees posting reviews? the chicken was so greasy and had little taste. The salad had no dressing.

Do not order the chicken fried rice, worse than what you get from the cheap chinese take away joints. Very unhappy with the meal, will not return.

Very generous portions and very good value for money. The taste is far better than some of the more expensive fare but could be a little hotter (chilli) for my palate. Thais tone it down considerably for the local market. Note there is an outdoor area to the rear of the kitchen (which is where I marked for the ambience). This is one of the best places to eat in Ashfield, which is woeful at best (far too many Chinese chow halls with greasy dumplings).

This is a little gem of a takeaway thai restaurant. Never fails to impress. Recently had the lamb shank red curry-fantastic. We drive for pick up as we are out of the delivery area, and we pass a lot of thai places to get there but its worth it.

Lunch is cheap ($6.8). I like the basil fried Kuay teow and Pad Thai.

Their food is average I think. Not many choices as they only have a few tastes that apply only different ingredient.

I have had my lunch here many many times and have always been happy with both the quality and the price (everything on the lunch menu is $6.90, this has now been raised a little but is still very good value indeed). The beef noodle soup is great, it may well vary from day to day depending on who is cooking but it will always be good, sometimes superb.

You order at the counter and your dish (or dishes) will be brought to your table promptly, I have never had to wait long even when the restaurant is packed (which happens often, particularly on Friday). I have eaten here a few times in the evening and found the dinner menu to be good also, I like to order anything that is on special as it can be relied on to be great. The ambience is basic. There is no bottle shop anywhere nearby so bring your wine from home if you want some.
