My wife and I went to this thai restaurant expecting a decent feed of authentic thai food. We were so wrong!

My wife requested a change of table because the table is near the counter and kitchen which is noisy and uncomfortable. However, one of the waitress said that the restaurant is fully booked. So my wife tried to accept it. However, by 9pm most of the tables are still empty.....only 5 tables were occupied and it was a Saturday night.

The food, we used Scoopon voucher valued at $39.00 plus 1 bowl of rice for $3.00. I reckon the dinner is no value for money. Worst thai food ever in our life as we loved thai food...The barramundi is deep fried and hard as rock. I can feel the hardness in my stomach.

Please be warned, do not have high expectation on the food. But the decoration and environment of the restaurant is quite relax. It is very pity the food doesn't match with the environment which I rated 5 for the ambience, wasteful.

This restaurant frequently advertises on the various discount websites. I previously used a discount voucher without any issue. This time, however, there was a problem with the service and the obvious discriminatory service and type of food offered.

Firstly, I came on a slow monday evening just as the restaurant opened at 5pm. There was nobody and the waitress immediately asked for my voucher and didn't know the type of wine being offered. When we wanted to order extra items that we were obviously able and willing to pay for, there was obvious attitude that "you must pay for it, its not free."

Next when we asked for dessert, we were told firstly there was no dessert included in our deal when it was clearly stated on the voucher there was. And when the staff realised it, they were adament they were only willing to offer the cheapest dessert on the menu and making a point "its due to the voucher" and tried to divert attention from other desserts on offer, and even then the portion was so small that it almost the size of a finger.

The staff did come by our table a few times but only when we made extreme effort to indicate their presence were needed. It was quite obvious that their location is quite good and the use of the discount websites has brought them more business but the way their staff tried to "shortchanged customers" using vouchers is disappointing at bare minimum.

The food quality itself was average, not the worst but certainly not what one would pay, if not for the vouchers. Bearing in mind, it was a monday and we were the first customers, the food quality could have been better.

Looked promising but went downhill very quickly - worst Thai food we've ever had and we've had lots of Thai food! - not a good night, wished we'd read the real reviews here before we'd wasted our money & time.

4 of us ate here with an Ouffer coupon. We sat in the outside room which was quite cold until they switched on both heaters. Food was served immediately, way too fast, even after asking them to slow down a tad. Fish cakes and tom yum soup (a bit sweet) were the tastiest dishes. After this, not only was everything was deep fried but squashed onto our table as we were still eating earlier dishes.

After dessert, heaters were turned off and we felt obligated to leave (around 9.30 pm on a Friday night). All in all, average food and ordinary experience. Atom Thai Newton is a far better restaurant with friendly service and tastier food!

I went with a Cudo voucher and the food was amazing, the best thai I have ever had! the service was great and although I probably wouldn't have come here with out the voucher as the prices are a bit much, however, after actually eating here I will come back with friends!

I'm surprised at how low this restaurant has scored! I went for the first time last night with a cudo voucher and was pleasantly surprised! A friend and I ordered two appetisers (mixed entree and duck mixture in lettuce leaf) and two mains (whole barramundi and pork cutlets in red curry). Everything was delicious, beautifully presented and the portions were huge and satisfying. My friend and I were extremely happy with our dinner and look forward to returning to this restaurant!

The service was not great but still efficient. The prices of the mains were around 20-25 dollars. The ambience was pleasant, modern and clean.

Overall, I highly reccommend visiting this restaurant. I know I will be coming back! The food was just so tasty and definitely high quality for the price we paid! Yum!

Food tasted great and was presented lovely. Decor (and menu's) was gorgeous and location nice. Service was horrible. Understaffed, and poor quality waiting staff. Told us they don't have that dish today (Twice) when we ordered (without telling us at the start). My dad saw kitchen staff plating food, put their finger in their mouth, licking their fingers and continue to plate food. Disgusting and disappointing after hitting a home run with the decor.

Fantastic food - loved the green curry and happy hour beer as well. Service was just as it should be. Overall great experience - will be back.
