With so many Thai restaurants in Sydney now I thought choosing Thai Kanteen would just see yet another Thai feed. Was I surprised.

The food is to die for, well, what we shared between the four of us was all sensational. The service was very attentive and very anticipatory without being cloying and overbearing. Very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Try the lime prawns. What a simple combination but so very very fresh and special. I can still recall the taste and texture days later.

From walking in very nonchalant and ho-humming, we walked out determined to eat there again and again and try everything. We have just found our new favourite restaurant! Very very special.

I come over to Thai Kanteen from bondi several times a month. I love the slow cooked grass fed organic wagyu beef curry and the organic massaman curry. Top quality ingredients make all the difference between this place and other thai places. I told a few other friends about thai kanteen and they come over from the east too. I try to eat organic food as much as I can and to have a place like this to go to is great especially when I have visitors. After 5 years of being a regular its still my favourite thai restaurant.

I really enjoy going here time after time. The staff, the surroundings and the food, ahh the food. I have taken many friends to this beautiful restaurant and not once been disappointed.

Must Try: Miang Prawns. These are delightful, beautifully presented and create a flavor explosion in your mouth. With the bitterness of the lime and spiciness of the ginger blends well with drizzling sauce and freshness of the sweet Yamba prawns.

Nothing but goodness all round.

Upon reading some mixed reviews we still thought it was worth a try. And a great try it was!

The fact of having clean flavours and organic choices made it a little different. This created nice flavours from what seemed good produce. The coconut lime prawns were great as was the Sang Choi Bow, Tom Yum and panang chicken. we even found they had Brown Rice! Chilli Basil lamb was a little down on flavour but was still ok.

Service was excellent overall. Yes it is a little pricey, but quality is always at a cost! Not the tastiest Thai we have had, but definitely one of the better ones!

Great decor, professional staff and all the trimmings of a fine restaurant including the linen tablecloth. Lovely until the food arrives and the portions sizes are so small (chicken skewer entrees were about 2 x 7cm long of flattened chicken particularly the entrees) that I felt quite ripped off and annoyed. Average food but certainly not worth the price in a city with great thai restaurants.

This is the ideal place for a nicer Thai dining experience. The food, whilst more expensive than most, was fresh and very tasty. The wait staff are very helpful and nicely dressed in uniforms. The restaurant itself has lovely decor with tables (actually set with linen tablecloths!) far enough apart to make it feel intimate. A real gem in Mosman!

Really enjoy the experience of coming to Thai Kanteen. Usually save it for a special occasion as it is a bit more expensive than other Thai's in the area. Wait staff could not be faltered and the decor/atmosphere is of a good standard.

We enjoyed typical fare of fish cakes as an entree, chicken macadamia stir fry and massaman beef. The chicken was not quite as hot when it reached the table (my only gripe for the night) as the other two but we really enjoyed all three dishes.
Highly recommended.

What a gem of a restaurant! The food was so fresh and reasonably priced. I was worried that the wait staff may not speak English (they were all Thai) but was pleasantly surprised, they were friendly and knowledgeable about the food. I will definitely be back.
