Food: above average, authentic thai flavours, the Duck Curry was ok, vegetables overcooked and the Cashew nut Noodle had some vegetables under-cooked, Money Bag entree was plain.

Ambience: not so bad considering they are on busy Victoria road, most of the seating are at the back where you can enjoy a better view, loved the stylish seats and the indirect light.

Service: was not a busy night and I thought the waiter did a good job attending to our special needs and even snuck a bit of small talk.

Value: excellent with mains from $10 even at dinner time, no wonder most of their business is take away.

Ordered some takeaway from here last night (Thursday) and was quite pleased with the overall experience. I decided to call up at 9:45 pm on my way home from the city along Victoria Rd to see if they were still open, and they happily accepted my order of Chicken Pad See-ew and Beef Salad. As the norm with my previous experiences here, the food was to be ready in about 10 minutes.

I got caught up in traffic due to roadwork delays, and didn't arrive until approximately 10:15 pm. Even though the restaurant was completely closed (kitchen packed up, lights off etc), the manager (owner perhaps?) was still waiting for me to come pickup the food. I was very grateful for this outstanding service.

I will definitely be ordering the Beef Salad ($11.50) again, it was very well prepared and seasoned with just enough chilli. The salad was very fresh and the small pieces of orange really complimented the spiciness of the dish. I felt there was enough beef, but, perhaps, a little bit more of the mixed salad would have been a good addition.

We regularly order the Pad See-ew ($10) and it was just as good as ever. I often find with other Thai restaurants that the Pad See-ew is too oily, but Tew Thai manage to get it just right, and include a decent amount of chicken too. For the price, I can't complain. The service has exceeded my expectations. I'm yet to dine in, but it looks like they've recently renovated. Will most certainly return.

For the past 8 years, this thai restaurant has been my go to! I love the drunk noodles, the moo yang and choo chee, the sticky rice is delicious, and the owners attention to detail and service is fantastic!

Green curry was average, however, the BBQ pork was satisfactory. Pleasant phone service and quick delivery.

Tried this place on a Sunday night eat-in. The mixed entree was terrible as the pastry was dry, bland and hard. I agree with the other reviewers on the entree "Money Bags" as it had way too much corn and not enough chicken inside. They should rename it to "Corn Bag" instead.

The other mains were better with the stir fry and curry dishes. I would suggest sticking with the curries which were above average. Service was average as was the decor. Overall nothing special to differentiate this local Thai restaurant from others.

This thai is a little touch and go. I live across the road and have only ever had take away from here.

The price of the food is great, very reasonable for what you get. Mostly the food is great, although I ordered some take away on Friday and was quite disappointed, the penang curry had so much coconut milk in it, it was almost white in colour with no flavour. Overall quite a good local Thai take out.

Lovely food and average service. The Manager is always really nice, but the waitresses are a little lacking. As for value you really can't complain, nice candlelit quiet place even when fully packed! Will continue to got there as have not once yet been disappointed!

Had the fish cakes as a starter and the 'crying tiger' as a main. Happy with the entree not so thrilled with the main which was cold and flavourless. Nevertheless the staff is friendly and I will go back to try other dishes as I think the place has potential.

Description of money bags was mince chicken and corn. There was no hint of chicken, should be correctly titled corn balls. The rice was put on the plate five minutes before we received the red beef curry (with 4 shreds of beef) and garlic pepper chicken (satisfactory). With more attention to detail (and some added meat!!!!), this could have been a better dining experience.

For our entrees, we had the moneybags and prawns with shredded coconut. The moneybags were flavourless and stuffed full of corn (we were puzzled by the odd use of corn). The menu should have read "coconut with prawn" as we were greeted with four large palm-sized patties of what consisted primarily of battered coconut. The coconut and prawn combination also lacked any hint of flavour.

For our mains we had the lamb penang curry which was overly sweet, though the lamb was nicely cooked. We also got the lemon and herbed fried fish dish which was okay. Overall, an unsatisfactory food experience.
