Teru Cafe & Pizza Website
Our wide selection of Roman style pizzas and traditional pasta dishes means you'll never be stuck for options. Why not try our very popular vegetarian pizza or a Caprese with Buffalo Mozzarella.
Combining a passion for expertly prepared coffee, great cafe food and a relaxed atmosphere, makes Teru Cafe Pizza a great place to relax with your friends over breakfast, brunch or during your afternoon break. You are all welcome.
Did you know... The Romans developed placenta, a sheet of dough topped with cheese and honey and flavored with bay leaves. Modern pizza originated in Italy as the Neapolitan pie with tomato. In 1889, cheese was added.
For the meat eaters out there, we recommend the braised baby goat, lamb skewers, or our very popular meat ball dish. For pizzas, we have the Maialata with Chorizo, Ham and Salami as well as plenty of other options.

Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner menus backed up by one of the best local coffees... Authentic Italian cuisine and a neat little bar make Teru a treat. Now has live music in the evenings from Wednesday to Saturday and on Sunday arvos.
Today I had a simple, tasty egg and bacon ciabatta with sauce and mayo, but recently tried both the "Teru" and "Mediterranean" Breakfasts finding them great value with hefty serves and interesting combinations including chorizo, grilled eggplant, roasted capsicum, sausages, chicken breast and cannellini beans. Nothing boring about them.
Pancakes are a Teru specialty as well with yummy styles of poached pear and nutella, fruit and honey or cinnamon double cream with caramelised ginger. Decadent!
Inside and outside dining provides the ambience for any diner and a student discount even applies Mon-Fri. Recommended.

Service in this cafe is brilliant. Very friendly and ever so nice staff that make eating here a real pleasure. The servings, however, were on the small side for the high price paid. We were still hungry after dinner and had to go to a hamburger place on the way home. A pity as the food was excellent but it was more like a large entree than a main course.
We will definitely return but will try the pizza next time as they looked great and the servings were large. Most other tables had pizza but we tried the non pizza specials. The restaurant was very busy but the 2 female waiters treated you like you were something special. They sure know how to give fantastic service despite them having a very busy night.

I visited the restaurant on a Saturday night with four of my girlfriends for a girls night out. We were seated in the booth in the middle of the restaurant and had a really nice feel to it. The waitress looking after us was great and nothing was too much trouble. We were going to share dishes but one of the guests was no dairy or meat, however, accommodating her was no problem and they even did a special dish for her.
We had amazing starters of a few of their nightly specials and a few from the menu. The olive were amazing. We all had a pasta with fresh crab. The crab was so fresh, such a simple dish but the flavours were amazing. For dessert we did the share option again, the ice cream was to die for, a homemade chocolate dish was delicous.
The staff were great, there when you needed them but not too much interruption. I will definitely head back, I want to try the pizza it looked great but we were too full.

Once again food was amazing. We dine at Teru weekly, the menu has our favourites but always look forward to the weekly specials which are always different week to week. We had the gorgonzola stuffed prosciutto wrapped oven baked figs which were sensational with chilli and tomato mussels for entree and porcini home made fettuccini which was to die for along with the spatchcock for main soooooo good, and the buffalo mozzarella caprese salad Mamma Mia!
For dessert we had tiramisu and a slice of torta della nonna Amazing. Best service the waitresses are always smiling and friendly though professional and efficient.

Used my ouffer voucher, $10 for a medium pizza. Found that it was great value for $10. The pizzas were fresh and flavoursome. Had takeaway, so can't really comment on ambience and service.

This was our third visit to Teru and our last. The first two visits had good food, focaccia, calamari, lamb (the crust of the pizza had a methane taste though). This time, however, we decided to order the pasta. Big mistake! My partner who had the seafood linguini said it tasted more like a chinese style noodle, and the mussel once again tasted like methane.
I had the mushroom gnocchi, which was flavourless and flat. The whole experience was a disappointment and hard on our pockets because we had entered the restaurant expecting good italian food. Unfortunately, an expensive meal does not equal good taste. The service was decent, and we were queried about our unfinished plates (though not refunded).
The owner is obviously very passionate about italian food and his restaurant and he has been very kind to us in the past, so I hope he invests in better cooks.

This is one of my new favourite places to head out to dinner with some friends. I always like to share as I want to taste a bit of everything and this is the place to do this at. Some of my favourites are the Calamari, Chorizo and Chick Peas, Dips and that yummy yummy focaccia. I am not normally a fan of goat but I gave it a go and was really impressed it was so tender. All of this at a really great price as well. I will be going back for sure.

Even though the pizza looked good, I preferred the tasting plates and the mains.
There were 4 of us and we loved the honest Italian food. Not a vast menu but more than enough and all tasty Even the pasta that I cook all the time but not duck, was well cooked and presented. The lemon chello dessert is a must. Will return.

This is becoming a local favourite of mine after four visits.
We go for the pizza which is on a fluffy focaccia style base (I'm usually a thin crust 'La Disfida' sort of pizza eater) and always very enjoyable. The starters are a little more variable but we've enjoyed the variety.
Prices are very reasonable which explains why this is becoming a regular in a strip that has plenty of options. Seating position is important, non smokers stay away from the front windows which are usually open and allow for the 'enjoyment' of second hand fumes from the smokers outside!
A great place for a cheap and cheerful catch up with some mates mid-week.

Very good! Best pizza we've had in Australia. Been there 2 times now and service was perfect both times. Their fresh pasta is worth a try as well. We also liked the set up where you can have different small bites for dinner.
