I visited Terracotta for my second time on Saturday evening. My only regret is that I don't have more time to visit more often. Having lived in Greece and being a chef myself, it is the most authentic dishes that Ive seen in Sydney.
On my first visit my wife and I shared a meze platter to start, for main course I had the lamb shank which was superb. On Saturday the Lamb special was even better (I didn't think it was possible) than my first meal there. Great atmosphere with Greek music and a tapas type vibe. I will definitely be back.
After reading great reviews, finally made it there and it was well worth it! The mousaka was to die for, and the roast lamb was melt in your mouth. The service was great, even catering for a friend's allergies last minute. Will definitely be back there soon!!
Went on a quiet Monday night, not many people. The staff were fine with us and the food quite tasty although for a couple of dishes, a little heavy. The decor is a bit "70's" but overall this restaurant offers pretty good mediterranean food at very reasonable prices.
Staff was rude and offensive from the moment our party of 8 sat down for my mothers 65th birthday dinner. The greek beans were cold and straight out of a can with a bit of Rocket thrown over them. Chicken dishes were all dry and very unappetizing. The only half decent dish was the lamb special and that was nothing to rave about.
Its a noisy and inhospitable restaurant. The staff has a history of rudeness from what I heard by other guests at our table that recognised him from previous Manly dining disasters. We were all sorry that we didn't get up and leave the moment we sat down. Don't normally criticise online, but this place deserves it.
The place is cosy and the food was really nice. The portions are generous. We went there on a Sat night, completely packed, and it can be a bit noisy. But I will definitely recommend.
I really like this little hidden place. The lamb is always good and everything is good value. I have been here 3 times now and never had any complaints.
Have eaten here once, and it was a while ago. Greek food for me ranks with Mexican in that it never knocks your taste buds sideways in my experience. Anyway, this place was good, service good, food very tasty and good value. Worth a try.
I have eaten every dish on the menu and without any doubt the food is well worth returning for. The music and general decor is great. Nothing too flash but nonetheless I felt very comfortable. I attended a party in the upstairs dining room where we were served a set menu. The food was great and plentiful as well as being very good value for money. The service is good and the Owner gives all the Diners his personal attention. The Terracotta is one of my favourite places to dine in Sydney.
Incredible food. The appetisers were beautiful, and the chicken with cumin and yoghurt was delectable. The service was good, and the background was nice and comfortable. The value was very reasonable, particularly for food of this calibre. Very satisfied, will be back. Mediterranean food is the best!
Went with a group of six after reading great reviews here and hearing about the food from a friend. The owner Isaac was fantastic, from first being understanding when our group dropped from 15 to 6, to ensuring that we were well looked after and knew the meaning of every dish on the menu, then personally walking us out!
The lamb shanks were to die for, the meat just melted off the bone and the barbequed feta and tomato that went with it was so delicious. We all opted out of having an entree and just had breads with dips and when we were finished we were so glad we did as we were all so full!
Highly recommended, I would definitely eat here again.
