My partner and I tried Teascapes on a weekday rather than a weekend due to the place being so 'popular' as it is always busy when we drive past. We have visited twice, once for lunch and also breakfast, where I found the food to be very good and the service reasonable as the staff were very accommodating to our requests. As we used deal vouchers it was far better than some deals we have experienced of late. In all we were quite happy with the experience on both occasions.

A good local spot for a quiet breakfast or lunch. Go here if you're after something regular like a burger, melt or nachos.

The most consistently lazy, neglectful service I have ever received. Offensively unprofessional and uncaring. The senior staff seems to have a knack for picking staff members as lazy as he is.

Food was not too bad, but the service was so shocking... we were there on a saturday afternoon abut the place was pretty dead - took about 20 mins just to have a order taken, had to try to track down table water ourselves then about 30 mins later we finally got our food.

The thing that really brings this place down in the service, slow and very un helpful. When you go to pay, you just get told 'Go Over there' and then you have to wait for someone to finally turn up.

If the owners and staff work out that without customers, they have no business and start treating them better, it might be a nice place to hang out... but at the moment, won't be going back for a while.

Terrible service with rude staff. Food was overpriced for mediocre quality and took forever to be served despite asking multiple times. Also forgot our drinks.

The burgers are wonderful. The coffee is full of aroma, baristas are perfectionists. mmm cakes to die for. This place is a hidden gem, wonderful food served with a smile every time I've been. Atmosphere abounds with comfort and a touch of retro.

I love this cafe, its an icon in the eastern suburbs. The one thing I love about this place is you don't get hassled, you can stay chill out and call a waitress when you want service, I love the fresh lentil soup, followed by grilled chicken with Aussie Bobs famous tomato, capsicum sauce. Don't forget to try their special, buy 2 meals and get a bottle of stone-fish wine Free. ps there is always the chance of spotting someone famous as it is a known cafe hideout for celebrities.

Oh yeah the desserts are to die for, make sure you try a Teascape cup cakes or the mars bar cheese cake. This place has been in the spot for over 20 years and you don't stay around that long if you're not doing something right.

So a bunch of us use to frequent this place from time to time, merely out of convenience... however the service was actually pretty bad. I mean on two occasions I asked for a large and I was given a regular. However the worst experience was when we once went there at 9 to have a sit down and catch up for an hour to be told that we do not have a lot of customers (when there were about 7 to 8 people) and we are closing early in the next 1 hour i.e. 10 and we were asked to leave the cafe at 9:30. This is my last visit to this cafe, the only 3 starts I gave it are for the atmosphere but honestly I am sure there are other places with better atmosphere with at least mediocre service. The service at this place is just shockingly bad. I am not going there again.

Mother's day 2011, should have been a great morning for a coffee and a light meal. WRONG, went to Teascapes at Randwick. I can't believe the attitude of the staff (I use the term staff loosely).

Given the menus then left us alone. They served 3 people after us. The girls were just busy talking and farting around. In the end we walked out. Can't call it bad service as it was non existent.

I love all the eateries around the spot and Randwick in general. I guess for every good eating place there has to be an ordinary one. This doesn't even come up to orinary. Time to grow up girls. Try treating the customers like you would treat your family members.

I chose a Caesar Salad......was presented with a small bowl that contained 12 large 2.5cm pieces of stale bread, a very small amount of thinly sliced lettuce, which didnot resemble Cos lettuce, a few pieces of very hard over cooked bacon, a small amount of herbed salad dressing. No Parmesan Cheese, no poached egg. When I asked about the Parmesan I was in told they "don't do" Parmesan on their Caesar Salad, they offered me powered Parmesan, which I declined. This was the most disgusting meal I have had in a very long time. The coffee was also below standard. My partner and I eat out at least twice every weekend, and won't be recommending this Restaurant to anyone we know. The staff were "indifferent" and appeared to be unconcerned about any complaints, I am glad they aren't my employees.
