Great place, service was awesome. Food was good. Went here on a thursday for dinner. The lamb was yummy and a large portion of creme brulee was serviced, big enough to share between two.
The eye fillet was tender and selection of wine was great! good for a nice weekday relaxing dinner.

We dined here last night and had a wonderful meal. The service was second to none with wait staff very knowledgeable and ready to recommend the wines to go with our meals.
The dishes we ordered, Pork and Duck were beautifully cooked and we highly recommend them. The only problem was with 6 delectable mains on offer it was very hard to choose just the one. My husband and I had a wonderful romantic dinner at Tastevin and urge you to try it.

Paid a visit on Valentines. Cozy, rustic and well furnished. Nice atmosphere and good spot on Victoria St for people watching. Wonderfully built menu consisting classic French dishes that taste and look amazing.
Impeccable service that was attentive, friendly and helpful when it came to selecting appropriate drinks. Also, not intrusive but available when needed.
Nice selection of local and imported wines, convenient location. Definitely worth a thought for a special occasion or a treat.

I've been coming here for years and have celebrated many occasions under the reliable wing of the Tastevin team. They once made me the biggest apple Tarte Tatin for my birthday you've ever seen. They have a cute lounge out the back to enjoy a pre dinner drink. The dining room is intimate and quite beautiful.
The food is divine and the service immaculate. It's Paris with an Aussie attitude! The emphasis being on great tasting, high quality food and friendly, professional service. The wine list is particularly inspiring, some unusual and well thought out selections. It's very reasonably priced and consistently good. Suitable for groups but also for a romantic night out.

We recently celebrated my husband's surprise 40th dinner party at Tastevin with 10 friends and it did not disappoint. I chose the restaurant largely based on these reviews and am delighted to say that we all thought the service was excellent; the surroundings charming and food and wine superb. Everyone had a fantastic time and raved about their experience here. I am now looking forward to going back with the grandparents who babysat our children and sharing Tastevin with them. 9.5 Stars.

I booked the wine bar as a function room to celebrate a birthday with 20 friends. It was an exceptional evening.
I was attracted to Tastevin by its intimate dining space and quality selection of both French and Australian wines. Alex and the staff at Tastevin exceeded our expectations.
They were very helpful planning the night and delivered a wonderful evening, with fine food and wine. The service we received was amongst the best I've encountered in Sydney.
Highly recommended. This little piece of Paris in Sydney punches well above its weight.

A good little french restaurant worth a visit. The service was very attentive and friendly. The menu has a number traditional french dishes, and the food overall was good. The wine list is reasonable, and the ambience very pleasant.

Wow! Was delighted with this place after the reviews set high expectations. Lovely intimate setting, warm service, delicious but not schmancy food, and a decent range of French wines by the glass (including an excellent "real" champagne, hmmmm...).
Snail pie was yummy, oysters light and fresh, pork neck hearty. Couldn't miss crepe suzette flambeed at the table and it didn't disappoint. 6 courses, 5 glasses of wine, total bill $205: that's good value to me! Will definitely be going back soon.

Atmosphere was really romantic, loved the lighting and decor. Easy to get to- nice and close to Messina!
Food was pretty average for the price. Entree special with pork belly and scallops was perfect but the duck was so salty and was sprinkled with something that tasted like chicken salt. Was disappointed by the food as everything else about the place made it a top-notch restaurant. After some disappointing mains, we decided to opt out dessert.
Maybe we ordered wrong. Better luck next time. There won't be a next time unless those mains improve. Waiters were authentically French tho- lacked knowledge about the food. Ended up with a thymus on our plate and he wasn't sure what it was.
