I can only assume the rating for other features of the bar, but service is abysmal there. Got to the front of the line and was sent to the back without reason.

I also learned that the guest list is nothing more than names on a sheet of paper, so don't count on it ever getting you in unless you have a couple of girls in tow (though them being in front would make a bit more sense). What's sad is that this sort of thing isn't unheard of.

The bouncers are the nicest people especially Cameron and Courtney they both have the biggest muscles. The bar staff are quick and they are hot too.

Amazing club, spent 4months in Sydney and was a regular there, hed kandi nights especially fantastic! Despite what people are saying about the door staff, I never had any bother with them. Inside decor cool, tunes cool and atmosphere cool.

Sack the door staff and you'll have a club with a better reputation, happier customers, and higher profits! Turning people away for no reason (or that your only reason is that they're Asian) is out right discrimination. You are not the only good club in town and no one has to cop with your staff's rude attitude. My 2 guy friends got turned away on the ground that they had to keep the 'girl-guy' ratio in proportion, even though there were 2 guys and 7 girls in front of them! I ask them politely why my friends can't get in, and all I get is "Listen lady, you're irritating me, and I'm gonna kick you out!" I swear never to go back again, and I urge anyone who wants a great night out and don't want to waste their money to go somewhere else. It's not worth it!

The new night called "poplife" on fridays at Tank replacing "dirtypop" is pretty much the same; long lines, expensive drinks, house/funk/rnb music but the "new rule" is "no Asians". It sounds weird but it's true. if you look at the earlier photos from dirtypop and the photos from poplife now you will see the difference. Asians are being denied at the door, nonetheless I still like the club.

The place itself is great! No expense spared (decor, sound, lights etc). It could use a bit more seating. As for the expreience of going there, well... As most have commented, the bouncers suck. The place is really popular and they can afford to be picky but their attitude sometimes is disgusting. In my experience getting in is hit-and-miss. Some nights you're welcomed straight in, other nights you'll be turned away for absolutely no reason. And groups of more than 2 guys - forget it (unless you know someone). It seems you must have girls with you!

Crowd is pretty good. Most between 20 and 28 and make an effort to look good (some succeed better than others). Like others have commented, drinks are expensive even for Sydney. Overall, if you're in your 20's, like house music and get in without much hassle, you should have a great time.

Generally the club itself is ok. The drinks are expensive but you expect that. No wonder people are finding other ways to get into the night ( if you get mydrift ) other than alcohol. The cover charge was very high and turns me off going often. And the bouncers here are in a breed of their own, you must check them out. Yes they are being serious.
