When first walking into Tandoori Palace, you may need to take a step back as the recent renovations are quite breathtaking. The original timber floors, tinned pressed high ceilings, breathtaking bar, marbled featured walls all make for a fresh, modern, sleek, feel-good dining experience. The service is friendly and professional, yet without being intrusive, and the quality and quantity of the food are generous at affordable prices.

On the lower level, you'll find a Karaoke Party Room. Friday $40pp & Saturday $45pp 'Bollywood Party Nights' (No BYO). This includes the Set Banquet menu, Male and Female Bellydancers, Drag Show "Special Guest", Karaoke, and Complimentary Passes choice of 3 nightclubs, Great fun for Group Bookings - Corporate Functions /Hen's Nights/ Birthday, Farewell Parties & Xmas parties etc

My boyfriend is from Europe and has travel all around Australia; he has said numerous times after a meal at Tandoori Palace that it offers the best service he has seen in our country. The amazing food excites your taste buds and keeps you wanting more and more because the ingredients are fresh and the food beautifully cooked and presented every time. The staff makes you fell like king, while the atmosphere is relaxed and classy without the snobby feel of Sydney. I recommend that anyone who wants value for money, a good night out and fabulous food MUST go and visit TANDOORI PALACE, you will not be disappointed. Fan of fantastic food, Vanette.

Thanks to the reviews on this page I organised a family dinner at Tandoori Palace and it was a fantastic night. The group of 30 were all greeted by the friendly staff as we entered the downstairs party room and were very patient as they waited for us to stop talking and sit down for dinner service (we sat down 45 minutes late for a 7 pm sitting).
The food was great and yes, there was a lot of it. No-one went hungry (including the boys) and we had some first time Indian eaters that really enjoyed the food. The curry isn't hot, but they were happy accommodate when asked. The real fun started when the belly dancers arrived, providing plenty of entertainment and laughs. But they were easily topped by our Drag Queen Host who kicked started the Karaoke. She had everyone in stitches and really set the tone for a fantastic night. The Host left after an hour (approx) and we kept the Karaoke going until Midnight (close).
Thanks for the hot tip reviewers and to the great staff at Tandoori Palace, we will definitely be coming back again!

After reading all the reviews I decided to give this place a whirl. And I wasn't disappointed! I will be coming here again with my friends as I got jealous with all the fun downstairs. The food is delicious and FILLING. I tried the Onion dish as recommended and it was non greasy and addictive, who would have thought onions could be exotic?
I highly recommend the Naan bread and the Lamb dishes *smacking lips together in rememberance*. All I can say is YUM and as an aside, the UKCritic is living up to the Pommie whinger image - see you soon guys - also, is there wheelchair access as one of my friends is excited about the karaoke room?

Not good. Average at best. If you want a decent curry, go to any cheap back street curry house in the UK and you'll do better than this. I could knock up a better curry myself. After the good reviews on this website I was expecting treat, sadly all I was left with was the vinegary taste of a not very hot curry in my mouth. Please somebody open a decent curry house in Sydney!

We have never received a complaint as bad as this. If you weren’t happy with the food should have brought to our attention to replace your meal. The feedback we got from our waiter and surveillance, you were enjoying your food. Our chef is from Brick Lane, East London. Our venue is very popular to English and Irish nationalities. In 2007 our restaurant awarded for Best curry restaurant in NSW by Curry Club organization run by English. And also not sure what was wrong with our service & ambience as we take pride in our service and ambience.
We have taken note of your comments and even though you are in a minority group of the 'not so good' reviewers we assure you of our ongoing commitment to improvement in our business. From checking out all these great reviews for the restaurant we decided to give the $30 per person 3 course banquet offer a try. We were absolutely thrilled with the fantastic and friendly service. The food was too much for us (5 people) that we had to take the rest home in a doggie bag. Definitely try the lamb apple korma and butter chicken with naan bread! Delicious! Word of advice for patrons - come very hungry!!!

This place is wonderful! Thank you to our lovely waiter, you made our night even more enjoyable. With regards to the food, the palak paneer was one of the nicest I have eaten, the beetroot curry was also interesting and very tasty, and the naan bread was piping hot from the oven. I can't wait until downstairs is finished, this place is going to be a hit. I will be back for sure.
*P.S Can you please put plain sweet lassi on your menu.

Me and my friends had a party at Tandori Palace and we had so much fun and after my party 5 of my friends arrange their party as well and I specially appreciate Stepheni, she organise everythng for us and specially the staff was so caring and we got a perfect service.
Food was awesome and the ambience was so nice and by the time karaoke starts all of my friends gone excited. We had so much fun and I recommend everyone should have a party at Tandori Palace is the best place I have ever been and the positive point is that at end of the party, we all get complimentary night club passes. I thank you Tandori Palace team, they made my party memorable.
