After reading all the positive reviews about this place, we had to give it a go. The service was very attentive from the moment we walked in the door. The menu and specials were well explained and we ordered Way more than we could eat. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the naan. The mixed entree had some very tasty items but next time I think I would just stick to the relish tray and pampadams.

All of the mains were very flavorful and just the perfect amount of spice with the most outstanding lamb biryani that I've tasted. At the end of the meal, with too much food in our bellies, we passed on dessert and enjoyed a very civilized pot of Masala tea. Looking forward to the leftovers for dinner tomorrow night.

It was great food and service in this club although its won't look like club, but food are very good with perfect size.

Tasty curries with perfect naan bread (cheese and keema naam was best) after dinner can't stop writing few word for this club and almost forget to mention about lamb chops, with pure indian taste.

I really like this restaurant. Food is excellent, staff are attentive and friendly. I have eaten here in a couples setting and also with kids and staff are adept at handling both.

The curries are delicious, from the milder kormas to the spicy but tasty vindaloo and the breads (particularly the keema naan and peshwari naan) are fabulous. Portion sizes for the curries are on the large side and I like the variety in the side dish platter.

I like the way you can also ask the staff to make your selection milder or hotter to your liking and they actually cook it that way, rather than just giving you the standard menu options. They are also very attentive when the meal is being consumed, when they check if things are ok, if you have a problem, they fix it right away.

Prices are reasonable, especially given the quality and quantity of the food. Yum!

Best place for indian food in hornsby. Gr8 food, ambience for a relatively good price in the area. Definitely recommend if you are looking for eat-in food in hornsby.

My girlfriend and I had home delivery we had the butter chicken and mixed entree all the food was fantastic but the lamb chop was the most amazing an memorable lamb chop ever I highly recommend it.

My boyfriend an I were pretty disappointed with this place. The host was attentive (after being greeted very coldly initially) but had pretty strong/bad body odour which was a little off-putting. Having said that he and the other staff members were very prompt with taking our order, serving our order etc. So fast though that we suspect the curries are reheated from a previous day or two before. This was confirmed when my boyfriend and I were having gurgling digestive systems later that night and the following day.

I liked the Lamb Gosht but the mushroom/pea curry was pretty bland. The raita was also pretty bad, which in itself is impressive given it is such a basic staple dish! The staff are nice but I wouldn't ever recommend anyone go here to eat. Much better quality Indian food and service at around the corner.

Given the many very positive reviews I was a little disappointed by this place. There is in fact, nothing out of the ordinary about this place. It has a kind of pleasant family run atmosphere with the elderly sikh gentleman out front of house overseeing the activity and a business like pony-tailed man darting around the tables. The female wait staff were very pleasant.

The food, however, is mediocre. The lamb cutlets were tasty, but overly salty and oily. The two curries we ordered were pleasant if forgettable. It tastes no different to food-hall Indian. The naan was (why is it so hard to get decent naan?) a little 'bready' in the middle. It wasn't crisp and very slightly charred as a naan should be. No sheen of brushed ghee on the outside, just the flecked garlic granules that are ill suited to dry heat. Anyway, its not bad. But certainly doesn't warrant the scores of 10,9,8 and 7 for food you'll see in the reviews below.

To those who claim this to be the best Indian they've visited, I respectfully suggest you visit more Indians.

I came here for a birthday celebration ten years ago and it was fantastic. My boyfriend and I recently went there again and it was still as amazing. We had the 'Hornsby Banquet'. This includes a mixed entree (four delicacies per person), a choice of two meat curries, a vegetarian curry, dahl and bread each, and dessert each. And for less than $30 per person! Plus you get poppadoms and a platter of sides for your curries. We both ate so much and we couldn't finish it all. And we are foodies.

My boyfriend was a chef and I can eat until the cows come home. But I was so full and I still wanted to eat more because it was so yummy! I almost made myself sick because I gorged so much. Will definitely be going back. And bringing friends too. The only downside was that at the beginning of the night, as people were still arriving so it wasn't full yet, the service was a little too attentive. But when the restaurant became full the service was perfect.

At the end of the night we had a chat with the owners, they were lovely. I am drooling just writing this review! I can't wait to go back!

This is my favourite Indian restaurant! I have been to quite a few but never measure up to this one. The chicken tandoori is beautiful and the curries are amazing.
